Garnett is not even in the top 5 PF - he cannot be mentioned in the same breath as Duncan, Malone or Davis - then Barkely, Dirk and McHale are all much better

Really? U think Spurs wouldn't have won 5 championships if you had simply replaced Duncan with Garnett. I think both are all-time greats, but Garnett didn't have much to play with until he got to Boston.

They probably would have been b2b champions if Garnett hadn't gotten hurt the following year late in the season.

Garnett was better than Barkely and Mchale. It's debatable with Dirk. But i would take him over Dirk also, as Garnett was a beast on defense and Dirk wasn't...

Career numbers can be a little misleading. As Garnett came in out of HS and played til he was almost 40. So those very early and late years bring down your overall numbers. It's better too look at the 6-8 prime years.

In defense of Garnett, he was a motivational monster. He played with grit. And he played on both sides of the court. He was a fierce defender.

He was definitely the team leader in the Celtic Championship year.

I think you guys are way underselling Garnett. Duncan was probably better, but it was super super close.
