I probably know far more about college football than any of the committee members. Anyone who understands football will agree with me. You have to be a very very big homer to think the PAC-12 is even close to the level of talent than the SEC West this year.

LOL...azzkick(&^

Your are a fucking clueless clown...and it's not even close.

It appears the main reason Oregon is ranked so high is because they beat a super overrated UCLA squad who the pollsters also have ranked comically too high. That helps the Ducks a ton. UCLA is not a top 5 PAC 12 team IMO.

Ridiculous

Bama deserves it. Plays a far superior schedule.

Maybe, but the schedule is not finished. To date, Oregon has had the far superior schedule. The playoff should be about what you did on the field not who is best on paper/favored by Vegas. Bama has beat one ranked team and it took a miracle and OT to do it. Now if Alabama wins out, yes they should go to the playoff however to this date there is nothing they have done on the field, i.e. Big wins, to deserve to be in the playoff over Oregon.

Sorry, Bama is living off past reputation and recruiting right now. That should not be taken into account, yet we are human and all have a bias. The playoff should be the 5 power conference champs and the next 3 at larges so humans do not mess it up as bad as this random selection of "experts" inevitably will.

AZ has been ranked for several weeks...What do you mean by unranked ? Oregon's victories over Mich St & UCLA are better wins then a win over ND...Committee obviously agrees
AZ is number 14

If Bama wins out, they are in. If Miss St loses this week, but then wins out, they are in.

If Oregon and ASU wins out, the winner of that game is in. If FSU wins out they are in. That sucks because I like the TCU team, but I don't understand their ranking at all.

As long as a B10 team doesn't make it, the committee will have (partially) done their job...

"Stanford couldn't hang with Notre Dame"

Stanford lost 17-14.

ND took the lead on a TD pass on 4th down with 1:06 left.

So, you don't appear to know what the hell you're talking about.

Completely agree with this.

It really is. They've both beaten 3 top 25 teams this season with Florida State's win over #5 Notre Dame the best victory of the bunch. FSU is undefeated and Oregon lost against an unranked team. Who knows.

At the time the win over Notre Dame looked like a quality win but after last weeks bad loss to Arizona St it looks like nothing special. Just look at who Notre Dame beat before Florida St and it's easy to see they were ranked way to high.

They are 26-0 outside the SEC

This is the most misleading stat that is used over and over again.

Here are 22 of those 26 wins, six of which were against D2 programs.

So Miss, UAB, So Alabama, UT Martin, Western Carolina D2, So Miss, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana Lafayette, Memphis, Presbyterian, D2, San Jose State, Louisiana Tech, Samford D2, Lamar D2, Rice, SMU, Louisiana Monroe, Sam Houston St D2, Louisiana Monroe, New Mexico St, Nicholls St D2, and UAB.

Hardly murderers row.

Wasn't saying the wins were great, just pointing out the fact all their losses except for 1 SEC East loss came from each other.

If Bama wins out, they will be easily the Number 1 overall seed. They have # 1 Mississippi St., Auburn and most likely Georgia still on their plate. Some forget that the SEC won 7 in a row and last year almost made it 8 straight !

Forgot to mention that they don't get cupcakes within the conference. You guys always forget that.

Didn't forget to mention it because it had nothing to do with conference games, he made a point of them being 26-0 outside of the SEC.

Very well, but unless a conference plays a brutal schedule as the SEC does in conference they need some cupcakes. Many of these schedules provide income to instate colleges. It's all relative in my opinion. Not trying to knock any conference at all.

If FSU is rated below Oregon this week, the selection committee is an absolute fraud!
