I'm not rewriting the narrative, I'm not rewriting history, I know why the democrats embraced the war (their words speak for themselves)

I'm teaching history, mocking the modern day narrative

Nobody embraced the war more than the guy who authorized it and shookoff Colin Powell telling him you break you own it. We own it now, free and clear, no mortgage....We got what we bargained for and it was 1 of the worst military disasters of all time. We're still there, its 2013! We've been there so long that it our own civilians became apathetic and disinterested in it like 6 years ago. All the the capital we've wasted there (human and financial)...

The 1 good silver lining is I doubt you see us get bogged down in a conflict like this for a long time given what this taught us.

Judging by those quotes I think you've maybe talked yourself into this war was happening regardless, you think Al Gore goes in? You said all democratic leaders supported it.

Iraq was won after the surge, and we obviously don't own it today. We're not even there

Bush mismanaged the war which prolonged the war when he didn't use the "surge" from day 1. He listened to Rumsfeld, he tried to win it with a small force which was more politically correct. they were right with respect to overthrowing Saddam, but dead wrong with respect to securing the country and defeating terrorism. The people needed to feel protected before they started to help us make their streets safer.

11 years was certainly long enough, it was our mini-Vietnam.

The problem is you couldn't overthrow Saddam and then secure the country/defeat terrorism. That was why overthrowing Saddam didn't work because we had to rebuild an entire nation. Thus you break it you own it...

The administration had no clue the amount of time, money and resources that was going to take. They were not prepared for this whatsoever. I know it was taken out of context but Mission Accomplished did prove their lack of understanding on what was ahead.

Are you saying you think Iraq was a success? I'm not sure

also yes the surge was the turning point and turned a disaster into a salvageable situation, nobody could argue that I don't think. Just saying at the time that whole administration had no clue what they were doing in terms of the rebuilding effort ahead.

What did we spend there? 2-3Bs?

What did I say again? That's your biggest problem, you're just fucking stupid. Really really stupid.

What I did is post the words democrats chose to speak, predating Bush.

What I did was point out the UN sanctioned Iraq numerous times, most of shich predated Bush.

I simply gave facts, let people arrive at their own conclusions.

What you did is cite authors creating to same narrative you create. But that simply doesn't trump raw facts which speak for themselves.

How many concussions have you suffered? Did you go through a windshield? Does your family have a history of being dunces? Did you do too many drugs?

What gives?

So all those stories about the bush lies are just "narratives" but your quotes are the end of the story. Are you actually retarded

OK dimwit, what I'm doing is mocking your statement that the whole world believed Saddam had WMD BECAUSE OF THE WAR MONGERING GW BUSH. You can't even follow a conversation you started, you don't understand a statement you made, you change and deflect midstream yet again, you can't walk and chew gum simultaneously

does your stupidity ever bottom out? do you ever get it? do people actually try to have substantive conversations with you in real life?

do really smart people you know just smile politely when you're talking?

The war mongor conviced much of the world that sadaam had wmd's...duped tony blair into it and was his whole basis for going to war. A few quotes pre bush doesn't change any of that. Your boy lied and thousands died..

Do you consider yourself "smart people"? Nobody else considers you that.

for the more intelligent members of this forum, you might be interested in looking at the following sanctions to become up to speed on the truth about Iraq. For the Vtards of this world, forgetaboutit, you'll never grasp the truth

582 2/1986
588 10/1986
612 5/1988
620 8/1988
687 4/1991
688 5/1991
707 8/1991
715 10-1991
1060 6/1996
1284 12/1999
1441 11/2002
1483 5/2003

1) since W didn't become president until January of 2001, it's obvious (except to the vtards) that most of the sanctions occurred long before he became President

2) you can see they reprimanded Iraq for using WMD and they demanded UN inspections

3) the last two (I cited) should give you insight about what they thought about what the left now calls an "illegal war"
