- teams with 5 wins need 6th for bowl game--play
- teams that clinched bowl last week 6th win--fade
- bowl bound teams that strong rumors suggest they already know their bowl destination and cannot improve--fade
- teams on the road with no bowl hopes--fade
- teams with a chance to get into the conference championship against one that does not--play
- teams with interim coach--especially on the road--fade
- warm weather teams playing in very cold weather-fade
- cold weather teams playing in very warm weather-fade
- pass oriented teams playing in very windy conditions (>12 mph but especially >15mph)--especially vs good/decent run first teams
- teams with significant rumors of their coach moving on--fade
- teams with significant rumors that there will be a lot of top notch players entering the transfer portal--fade

Very true on all accounts. Every once in a while I find a thread with decent info but rarely. Question. Don't you think the lines already have baked in the above info? If so there's still the higher motivation factor.

Oregon might look ahead to Pac-12 game, deep in their hearts they know they have almost NO chance for the 4 team playoffs (they are ranked #9), so Ore St at home +3 might be a play. Not sure how Nix is doing, whether he will be risked to roll out or run the ball in this spot.
