Joey is on a mission, and personally I think he can devour 60 doggers today.
BoDog has the o/u at 57.

i'm hesitate on the over only because if he has this thing wrapped up it will be a celebration in the last minute or so......kobi isn't 100% and this may happen.

Agree Kobi might nor even finish second with the jaw injury although since this is the biggest food competetion of the year Joey might want to set a new record at coney island.

Anyone know what time this is on?

you only found +850 on the field?
You should insist on 50-1 no less, 500-1 or so is fair price for field vs big 2.

I'd take 50-1 or better. Pat Bertoletti will probably get 50 and Joey could underperform or DQ. Kobe has almost no chance unless he has been bs'ing his injury (which I highly doubt). Wouldn't surprise me if he just ate a couple and called it quits.

He claims he set to go even though he cant open his mouth wide enough for a typical dentist cleaning

Kobayashi's Hot Dog Crown in Jeopardy

Injured Champ Ready to Go Bite-for-Bite With Challenger Chestnut

AOL sports.. 2007-07-04

Six-time defending champion Takeru Kobayashi, still unable to open his mouth wide enough for a typical teeth cleaning, joined favorite Joey Chestnut at a Tuesday weigh-in before their Fourth of July hot dog-eating showdown in Coney Island.

"I don't care what they think," the 29-year-old Kobayashi said through an interpreter. "I just want to battle tomorrow."

Since going public with his ailment last month, Kobayashi underwent treatment by a specialist and a chiropractor. Event organizers said he also had a wisdom tooth extracted June 26 to relieve what they described as "jaw-thritis."

The slender Kobayashi weighed in at 154 pounds. Chestnut, 23, came in at 215 pounds and added his voice to those unsure what to expect from the champion. "Kobayashi is the underdog," he said, "and he's claiming an illness."

The two are among 17 contestants preparing for Wednesday's eat-off, where the winner must consume the most HDBs - hot dogs and buns. Last month, Chestnut eclipsed Kobayashi's mark of 53 1/2 in 12 minutes by inhaling 59 1/2.

CNN has a reporter on site and they did a live remote plus a small feature story a few minutes ago. One thing reported is that even though Kobayishi is claiming to be less than 100%, Joey Chestnut intends to silence anyone that thinks he'll win by default by devouring in the neighborhood of 60 hot dogs.

I kind of want to see kobayashi do it. Just the guy eating through pain to keep a title story has me going a bit.

But this Chestnut guy seems to be the real deal. And it would be cool to see a record.

And Kobayashi's hair do is almost exactly like mine lol. Except for those curled side burns

there are some rumors that the 59 1/2 that Joey ate in the regional was actually 54 1/2 they serve dogs 5 at a time and there are some insiders (not sure if video shows it, nobody seems to have a full video of just Joey) who think it was a miscount to hype todays event.... I think Kobe gets 57 and Joey 56 lets see...
