whispers...just to tighten it up....

sb champions who won the bowl and scored 20pts or less in the win are 7-0 ats in the following season opener in superbowl history.

all the nyg injuries coupled with the "more than a fieldgoal" worth of points they're giving up to a divisional rival, smells like a definate misdirection play to me..

i think your right with the g-men.

good luck!:103631605

GAME.

Completley agree. Very confident in the Giants however due to feeling like a homer I am not putting as much into this game as I would if they weren't my team. Just can't picture a scenario in which the Skins win this one.

GL this year.

Any insight on the 49ers/Cardinals game? I see the line creeping toward the niners and I love them against the cards at home. Niners got better with alex smith losing his QB position, but then again so did party boy Lienert.

Woudn't bet this one. Its real tough to get a read on. Cards could dominate, 49ers could dominate, could be close both ways it's just to hard to get a read on two teams that have been inconsistent the past few years and the 49ers at home look good but JT O'Sullivan (that is his name right?) under center doesnt. I think the Cardinals are the better team but you never know which team will show. Better games out there to bet IMO but if I had to pick I would go with the 49ers 1st half. Cards game.

I am a Steelers fan and I am a little nervous about the
HOU game. I like the Steelers to win, but I can see
a close game.

The Steelers o-line is their weakness, allowing 53 sacks last year
(playoffs included).

Watching all their games this preseason, the line has not
improved much.

Despite the o-line woes, Big Ben had a probowl year last year.
From all indications (PGH beat writers) he is even better this year.
Ben will be challenged by his own line.

Very Well said.

The O-line will be worse this year seeing they lost the anchor and pro bowl player Alan Faneca to the Jets. Justin Hartwig was the only free agent they picked up on the line and they drafted a lineman in the fourth round. Neither of which will improve the line from last year.

Troy Polamalu wasn't activated from the Pup list until late august , which means he may not be in form and with a Houston team that had a few key injuries last year ready to prove that are a legit team this may not be a good spot to take Pittsburgh even though they are at home.

Keep your eye on 6-4 WR Limas Sweed whom Pittsburgh selected in the second round partly due to Big ben's complaint that the recevier's were "too short".

Good Luck and I look forward to a winning season.

Seahawks @ Bills

The Bills are coming off a solid year where they finished 7-9 and showed that they do have some potential going into the future. Trent Edwards showed me a lot last year in the games he started. He showed the capability to keep his team in position to win games which is all he is supposed to do. He doesn't have the big arm or anything but he is a "game manager". Marshawn Lynch showed he is a very capable NFL back but was over shadowed by the emergence of Adrian Peterson out of his rookie class. The Bills still have Lee Evans who I feel is ready for a bounce back year. They Bills added Marcus Stroud and Kawika Mitchell to thier already solid defense. They then added James Hardy and Leodis McKelvin in the draft and appear ready to make a run at the AFC Wildcard in the next few years. The Bills played well at home all last year with 1 point losses to the Cowboys and Broncos and wins over the Jets, Ravens, Bills, and Dolphins. The other 2 losses were to the future NFC and AFC champions.

The Hawks are a different team away from home as they went just 3-5 on the road last year with losses to the Falcons, Panthers, Browns, Steelers, and Cardinals. They added Julius Jones and TJ Duckett to add depth to the running game but I just don't see the Seahawks being able to put up the points that they did last year. I also think the defense is not as good as advertised and should give up their fair share of points. I see a Bills win in the opener at home.

Bills 19
Seahawks 13

The Play:
Bills -1.5 (1 Unit)

I like the pick.

Given Seattle's history of ineptness when playing 1 o'clock games on the East coast and the fact that the Bills have a very solid defense and showed they can move the ball with Edwards at the helm.

Best wishes for this season!
