He beat the Rocket 9 times. Do you no how unhittable and dominate the guy was? So yeah big game he could start for me

I'm not arguing with you as it is subjective, just surprised no matter what stats you throw at me.

orel hershiser. In his absolute prime he set a record for most consecutive innings without a run scored.

Interesting, did not think of him either. I recall he has the record, wasn't it like 55 innings or 55 1/3..something like that?

pretty wild people mentioning dave stewart (career 4.00 ERA pitcher) and dennis eckersley (dominant closer, barely .500 starter) but nothing on Roger Clemens ... ??

silly

for 2-3 year guys Fernando and Gooden were as good as it gets but never sustained like Orel or Pedro or Maddux in same era

We were told for 1-game and for guys in this era... I chose Eckersly just for his fast sidearm pitching and his release. Which would be more than enough to win 1 game vs players today, who have never seen anything like that.

If you go back, I said for players to keep for a season, it would be Randy J or Roger C

The Big Train, although Pedro and Gibson are also great choices
Wow! You stole mine Willie - Walter Johnson - but for one season who could argue with Bulldog? (Gibson, Koufax, Newcombe, McClain etc. ).....and many more!
