Come to think of it , did they ever make that car in any other color besides silver ?

I bet you could get 40-50 bucks for that car today, easy!

This thread is about lemons, but I have to pay my respects to a car that served me well.

I think it was a 1984 Toyota Corona. I bought it used and at the time it had about 150k. I drove the shyt out of that car. It was practically indestructible.

I must also mention that the only thing on the Dash-board that worked was a thermometer that could read the temp both inside and out.

They should have done some kind of scientific research on that one Corona to find out what made it so amazingly durable and reliable.

There was something special about that car.

The original KIA's imports were so weak, some people stated referring to them as the

"Killed In Accident" car.

How about some of the old sayings about cars names etc.

Fiat...was Fix It Again Tony

FORD...the chevorlet guys that didn't like Fords......Found On Road Dead ( I personally think Ford is a great car/truck maker)

These are the only 2 I can remember but I know there were others

I only drive big old (pre-1990) American-made cars with bumpers that don't disintegrate if they get hit at 5mph. Change the oil every 3000 miles and they're better than the crap they make nowadays.

Pancho Sanza:

Skoda is not that bad they are now owned by VW. The octivia is sweet. Did you ever live in Prague or are you one of those guys that lived in UK when Skoda was advertizing "Why buy a used car when you can buy a Skoda Car?"

The worst car is the Trebby. Because they were made of composite plastic the Germans charge a lot to dump them. They would drive them East and leave the keys in them and take a train home. My vote is the Trebon.

I was ready to post Russian LADA as the worst ever made "car", but then Trabant from DDR came into my mind. Difficult to say which one is worse, but I have driven with a Lada 1200L and you can't call it a car.

Accelaration 0-60 mph: 21 sec
Topspeed: 88 mph
HorsePower: 59

A steering wheel is same size as in truck and a power steering...well there is no such a thing.

Best looking picture of Lada I found from here:

I vote for the Pacer. My dad was in the car business and use to refer to Pacers as "fishbowls".

Jefe I remember that pacer known as. An upside down old fashioned bathtub.. If you had a bad wreck in that car you better be ready to eat lots of glass too.
