Two police officers who were killed in the past two days. Both so young (29 & 24). Both innocent. Both left for work and didn’t make it home to their families. One leaves behind a wife and an infant son. One leaves behind a wife.

Where is the news media coverage for this? Do their lives not matter? Where is the uproar?

I am in no way belittling what happened to George Floyd. He was yet another life that did not need to be taken. These men, like Floyd, will never get to see their families again. A little boy will grow up without memories with his father. A young widow will weep for her husband. And an entire country will burn to flames while another family is mourning a loved one taken too soon.

This all has to stop. Black lives matter. Police lives matter. ALL. LIVES. MATTER. Not one race or profession or religion or personality matters more than the next.

The war on cops is just as real as racism. It’s just as deadly. And it’s just as scary when I watch my husband put on his uniform and leave for his shift. “Will he make it home?” is a question I have to ask myself because of pictures like the ones below.

I see spray paintings on buildings that say “Save a life, Kill a cop” and my heart sinks. That is a life. George Floyd was a life. Cody Holte was a life. Nate Lyday was a life. One is not more precious than the other. If you think so, imagine being the family of any of the three and think again.

We ALL have to do better. Fighting injustice with injustice gets nowhere. Fighting hate with hate accomplishes nothing. Killing someone because someone else was killed to prove a point is completely absurd...

Getting to be a rougher job daily.

We aren't ever going to have the media giving much coverage to white cops dying.

It must be stressful for you at times being married to a cop. Knowing the violence he is exposed to and that not all of them get to home at the end of their shift. We're all thankful for the support you give to your husband. Blue Lives Matter.

I support blue lives over black lives murder and to say that police deserve to get killed or chose that job and that is a consequence of the job makes you the enemy. The police are the only thing preventing anarchy and chaos. I choose freedom and peace.
