Same reason why China has slave laborers and non-slave laborers.

Less than 5% of nation's 76 million hourly-paid workers earn minimum wage, most of them young part-timers entering the workforce. If there was ever a "red herring" this is it.

Another useless job-killing govt program Democrats can use to suck in more ignorant, economically-illiterate voters come election time.

The dipshit comes on here, shows his ignorance, gets humiliated pretty much every single day...and enjoys coming back for more. He can't get enough.

Dumb fucks like alkiefagdrunk don't live in reality. He, and far too many other progressives, live their life based on how they feel the world "should" be instead of confronting and adapting to those realities. It's one symptom of psychosis...and one reason I really do believe liberalism is a mental disease.

This was a very civil thread for rx political standards . Let's save stuff like this for other threads.

Ya know, I'm looking at the enumerated powers, and with today's technology, one could make the case for even less government than they had back when the Constitution was ratified. Don't even get me started on all the unconstitutional crap that followed. We have email, the Internet, Fed Ex...why do we need the post office again?

Local government is obviously necessary - fire, police, ambulance, garbage collection etc. Elected representatives accountable to the people is essential in a free society. Don't let any of these brainwashed Marxist loons tell you that conservatives are "anti-govt".

As far as this broke-ass federal leviathan is concerned, everything except the military should go. It simply doesn't make sense for a ruling class (think Jon Gruber and Cass Sunstein creeps) in Washington to dictate what happens in Tallahassee, FL.

The current generation doesn't even know what freedom is anymore. Freedom is some eeeevil dog-eat-dog concept they have been brainwashed to fear.

So what is freedom? Exhibit A: the Internet.

The Internet is the closest thing we have to a true free market. Does it work? Does it work very well? What would most people say?

So why does the govt need to regulate it? Because the left doesn't control it, and what the left doesn't control, it must either conquer or vilify. Twenty to thirty years from now, little brainwashed akphidelts in their little liberal arts colleges will be taught how horrible the unregulated Internet was, and how our benevolent government saved it from exploitative capitalist swine.

That's the 'progressive' narrative for everything, what we're up against, and how we ended up knee-deep in statism over the last few decades.

Unregulated Internet is horrible. It's a breeding ground for criminals.

That's really a misleading number. That's the Federal minimum wage. Considering half the states in the US have state minimum wages higher than the Federal minimum wage the number would be much higher. Especially considering New York, California, and Florida have minimum wages higher than the Federal min wage.

Guarantee you there are many more millions in those states earning their state minimum wages.

You mean the reality that half the states have minimum wage laws higher than the Federal minimum wage?

You are out of your league arguing with me. You are better off just being a racist. Suits you.

I am indeed way out of your league when it comes to arguing for stupid ideas that do not match the reality of the world. Most people here are, in fact.

Racist, huh? Pretty much the last card you have left to play. Especially amusing coming from someone who has said blacks are too stupid and helpless to take care of themselves, so they therefore need the government to manage every aspect of their lives. I'll have to tell my better half about that sometime, btw...she busts her ass day in, day out at her job. She also happens to be black and will be indescribably amused by your thoughts on the matter.

One of the things I've noticed progressives do is try to turn anything that destroys their narrative into some kind of...breach of manners. Conservatives want to be well-mannered, which is why their auto-response of "RACIST! SEXIST! Whatever-ist"...often ends the debate. It is somehow gosh, for example...to mention the fact that Ted Kennedy, to save his political career, left a woman to die. Yet he is championed as some kind of women's rights advocate. Go figure.

You never have and never will be anywhere near my league when it come to intelligence. I've never seen you post one single intelligent thought of your own, because you aren't capable. Hell, you've never even posted anything that takes me any longer than about 10 seconds to debunk. Maybe one day, you'll realize how hilariously stupid you are. I won't hold my breath, though.

In 4 paragraphs you did not mention a single thing about state minimum wages being above federal minimum wages. This rant reeks of someone who just got owned and realized it, lol. Reaching!!!

There's nothing in the Constitution that allows the government to regulate the Internet.

So other than your relationship with your Obama blow up doll, can you name anything you don't want the government involved in?

We certainly do. Your radical ideology does not supersede the Constitution, the supreme law of the land. America is a constitutional republic, not your left wing social democracy you desperately want it to be.

If you want the government to regulate the Internet, amend the Constitution.

Nah, we'll just regulate the Internet. No need to ratify an old ass dated document

So if enough people "vote for it" the government can take your house?

Is this what a liberal arts college education buys you these days?

heh..never gets old watching my nephew pretend to be an American citizen.

Rock on, son. Mayhaps one day you will qualify for dual citizenship like your good ol' Uncle Jesse. Until then you are a Canadian posing as a US Constitutional scholar.

Great insights.

Because it isn't illegal to do illegal stuff on the Internet.

Or there are no regulations.

Or something.

Why not just make laughably uninformed comments, it won't be any different than yesterday for you.
