I remember when SC shutout Auburn in THEIR HOUSE for the season opener, SEC apologists ran bullshit like, "Yea but that wasn't the same Auburn team as the end of the season Auburn team"

here is the deal. USC is a great team and in the Fudge Pac 10. TENN is not a good team this year. Alabama and Florida can take ALL comers from any conference this year and win 95% of the time. If it isn't Al and Fl next yr it will be two other SEC teams. Year after year, give me the SEC. UCLA win today was great cuz i can give piles of chit to my UT buddies. Beyond that, SEC is the best fucking conference so shut the fuck up.
Sounds like the SEC isn't just the best, but they are also perfect. (They even have the right to disrespect anyone they choose because they are THAT much superior.) Anyone that can see significant weaknesses that other conferences and schools beat them with should just shut the fuck up.
Perfection is perfection. Achtung!
Anyone stupid enough to believe Florida or any other team would kill USC has lost all credibility.

I don't see anything great about a conference full of football programs where schools are on some kind of roller coaster. Inconsistent. Conf champ one year and 5-7 or 7-5 3 years later. As far as the top 2 schools winning 95% of the time vs anyone, can you name me one BCS conference that doesn't have 2 schools per year you couldn't say the same thing about? I bet you even the MWC has 2 schools per year that could whup Alabama and the MWC isn't even a BCS conference.
Let me say this about that. SEC is the better conference. I dont' have to cite numbers, it is a fact. That is my opinion and it is a fact per EVERY network announcer and poll ever. That makes it a fact since they say it on TV.
Let's just have a difference of opinion and be friends. Quit trying to justify the PAC 10 because USC is the only great team there.
I don't see how there will ever be any agreement as long as you keep drinking the same kool-aide they serve TV announcers and east coast writers that vote in the polls (and are in bed when they play games in the west. -- e.g. Oregon St. UNLV starts at 11PM EST.) When you look at the game results between the SEC and other decent football programs, it doesn't wash. Maybe one day the TV announcers will notice that and everyone will cut the shit and play more real football games to settle these matters on the field. It would lead to the real truth instead of stories you hear on TV and in SEC pundit's heads who are full of BS that just doesn't hold up on the playing field.
And by the way, those other Pac-10 teams that don't count won all their bowl games. So watch out for that kool-aid. USC is a dynasty. That doesn't make the rest of the conference a bunch of nobodies. You will get your ass kicked (on the field) just for saying that.
Listen up Jethro, I don't see anything great about a conference full of football programs where schools are on some kind of roller coaster. Inconsistent. Conf champ one year and 5-7 or 7-5 3 years later. What a damn waste of talent. As far as the top 2 schools winning 95% of the time vs anyone, can you name me one BCS conference that doesn't have 2 schools per year you couldn't say the same thing about? I bet you even the MWC and WAC have 2 or 3 schools between them that could whup Alabama and the neither is a BCS conference.

The point is "SAYING" the SEC is the better conference means absolutely jack shit when the SEC loses to Pac-10 teams most of the time (for the last 10 years.) If you don't win games, all you have left is talk and talk is cheap. You talk too much and listen too little unless it's what egos and your ears want it hear... In other words, you only hear what you want to hear.
Today you saw 2 comparably ranked teams in their respective conferences and you saw what came down. If you took the top team from the SEC and played the top Pac-10 team, I think USC would win it, but the game would feature 2 highly distinguished teams, no doubt. The same could be said for #2 vs #2. Cal vs Alabama, presumably. #3 vs #3, maybe Oregon St. vs LSU. The last time they played, LSU won (at home) by one point and the Oregon St. kicker shanked 3 PAT's for LSU to win. Fine. The SEC takes one. But then there's a rematch. You get the idea? Where is the superiority?
I think the SEC is deeper than most conferences which is the only way they are better as a conference. But depth is almost a week to week thing depending on injuries, whatever, other team issues crop up... slumps, streaks, etc.
On the other hand, the Pac-10 has had more parity lately than I can remember for 10 years and next year it will be even closer. It is a smaller conference because it has 2 less teams, but considering the depth that has been developing in MANY new places, the conference will be stronger top to bottom than any conference in the country (at the rate things are going) within 2 years. I am not just jerking myself or anyone else around, and you can look around at the changes taking place and it would be self evident. Even Stanford is robbing Florida and Alabama of 4* & 5* recruits since Harbaugh became their HC.
I am not saying that the SEC isn't still the deepest conference, but that distinction might not be nearly as significant now as it has been before and that might even be headed out the door if you are keeping an eye on what's been happening elsewhere too. Even the B-12 will eventually fix its Colorados and Nebraskas and then the whole damn country will have parity.
Teams in the SEC that used to be a lot better, are now just run-of-the-mill good, but not elite. Some of them that once were top programs are not even in the picture anymore. Auburn... wtf ever happened to them? UT, nevermind. So. Carolina... eh. Georgia... who the hell knows in a given year how they will fold. This isn't "elite" but it is "alot." That's what the SEC has over other conferences, some extra depth. But it's less than it was.
And I wouldn't go as far as to say it's an "Elite" conference because that implies that they rarely lose to anyone outside of their conference as presumably elite teams are supposed to be winners. By the numbers it just ain't true, especially vs the Pac-10, all of them -- not just USC. They quit playing the Trojans anyway so that's got little to do with USC. Yet you keep referring to the Pac-10 as USC plus nobody. Can you see now why everyone says the SEC honks and the TV icons with their noses up the SEC's ass are full of shit? You talk trash like that before a game if you are a player and your team will get clocked for it. You run your mouths like you do and that's why you get beat so often but you keep the trash talk up anyway. You guys are rock hard stupid and disrespectful. No fucking wonder.
The truth is, considering the SEC's depth as a conference, they underachieve, and that's the worst strike the SEC and its teams have against them.
Where did you run off to?Dude, you are clueless. Get off that Carroll Kool-Aid.
Gators have all eleven back on defense this season, they will run the table this season, with ease I may add.
USC is going nowhere with that freshman QB of theirs.
USC ain't even going to escape the Horseshoe tonight.
