Would only disagree with one comment by Horseshoe.

You should avoid the fights unless you are a diehard fight fan.

Some of the fights bring out a very large group of very strange people.

Not strange in any good sense.

You cannont beat MARCH and OCTOBER for the weather.

March will provide the thrill of March Madness and in October, football will be in full-swing.

Those would be my two choices.

ps- Avoid NEW YEARS EVE at all costs!

Its the official best time to go to Vegas thread. Fish is right. May and November are good also.

If you are there for the nutty experience, then March Madness is the time.

However, if you are there to gamble (tables) and want the cheapest hotels etc, stay around Dec 10 until Xmas. Hotels are quiet and almost give away the rooms and you won't have a tough time finding a game of one-on-one with a BJ dealer at some places (even on the weekend)

I have a blast at the Monday Night Football parties, so even if you go in that December block - try to time it on a Sun-Thurs trip and head to any of the parties (they are everywhere and all offer great deals/prizes etc)

Its expensive and crazy just about year round now. Only good value left is December because most people don't want to travel before the holidays. Conventions are rare at that time. Only thing going is NFR and it ends mid-month. Right up to and including Xmas is a fairly good time. Weather will be very nice for someone from anywhere but So Cal or Phoenix. There is a bit of a visiting crowd spirit as the bowl game goes around then. If you are actually here on Xmas every casino puts on some very good meals, but of course that is not most people's idea of Christmas cheer. Best of all, rates are a bargain and traffic is next to nothing except at the malls.

Traffic next to nothing ? What are you smoking ? I drive every single day and it's a nightmare all the time IMHO ! The best time to be in Vegas has already been mentioned... March madness. Weather is usually great and the excitement is out of sight. Next best time is anytime during the NFL season as the weather is nice and cool and once again... the excitement is great. You won't get any deals on rooms but who cares... everyone that posts here is filthy rich, right ? ... or maybe just filthy ?:toast: :money8: :lolBIG:

The BEST time for me there was in December and just slighty after the first of the year.
New Years Eve parties are like NO other in the world.
Besides ALL the BIG bowl games are the Next few days and nights.
