As a manager at starbucks and making next to shit, she wouldn't be privy to what's happening on the legal side, other than bullshit giossip. Nice try though.
Shit? She makes approximately $50k with great benefits and she makes her own hours and has an assistant. It's a pretty decent gig for not having a college degree. She is not in debt as most Americans/college graduates and she makes well above the median salary ($44k) most college grads. make coming out of college. Starbucks has an extreme, liberal "just say yes" policy that customers abuse. They must have a cult following of customers who know how to work the system. Employees just have to smile and say yes. The managers are in the know, more so than you think. I am not here to argue or change your mind, because I really don't give a shit, but I hear the crap that comes down from her boss which in turn affects company policy.

Depends on the location. Here in the Bend they are lucky to make 30G's... my manager at the 933 store makes 26....Chicago about 40G's. Cali about 50. Nothing to write home about. Livable wage at least.

Avg Starbucks manager makes $45k. A majority of people would be better off taking that instead of going to college. Students loans aren't worth it to most. Better off with a mortgage, or two...

I don't know what part of the country you are in, but I was surprised to learn from a friend of mine who is Regional Director with Starbucks said they pay their managers on average 60K.

if you worked there, the hours and BS you will get from corp., you would be underpaid. you have no idea what they put their managers through. most big corps are the same. you are an official slave. been there, done that.

Yeah, I don't like any other dog but my own. Don't know why people think it's ok to bring their dog into a place of business.

Just spoke to her and she said makes $52k without quarterly bonuses up to $3k AND she gets two separate two week paid vacations. She said her store is moderate volume, but it's in a very wealthy area on the water.

Neither do you. I remember you in the CFB forum last year and all the hatred you spewed. You come into this thread & start all your negativity. Don't like the thread then GTFO! azzkick(&^

The managers have it nice. I know a couple personally. One of them doesn't do jack shit, he has all his young baristas do all the work and they do it, because they want to move up. Guy is barely ever on the clock...comes in late and leaves early. Nothing anyone can do about it, because he is buddy buddy with the higher up. Its all a game. If you can get a manager position, its a nice gig.

I would think its a pretty good gig. Roughest part would be weekend shifts I would assume, but 9-5ers aren't for everyone. Like I said, offer it a pre-College kid and he be kinda dumb not to take or heavily consider. Hell hook a brother up, sounds tempting now. Haha getting rough around here...

Ya, i worked for Coca-Cola 6 years straight out of HS through college. WISH I would have stayed with the company and moved up, but I couldn't catch a break and got tired of the BS. Then again, I probably wasn't as proactive as I should have been. Eh. Oh well, live and learn I guess?
