Not too sure where this would go, so I'm throwing it here.

My strategy:

No more than 4% of my account bet on any day, EVER.

No more than 2% of my account placed on a single game.

And trying to break an old habit on this, but I am trying to get to a point where I am betting the same amount on every game from that day (nothing sucks like going 2-1 on the day and not breaking even ^<<^).

I stick with a "slow and steady wins the race" mentality. Just curious what some of your MM strategies are.

Actually you have a realitively conservative approach which is very reasonable. You could lower it a bit and place no more then 1% on any single game while still holding your daily limit to 4% of your bankroll. This would protect your bankroll even more from any long term slumps. Best of luck.

Parlays kill, though they seem very tempting, even vegas tells you that it is a bad idea, it is hard enough to pick one game!

Parlays do kill. I got a friend who is in love with them...but I've only heard him hit one or two EVER.

I like your approach bamafan2112. IrishTim why do you say disregard daily limits if you stay 1-2% of bankroll per single bet? could you explain.

1-2% of your bankroll, flat bet. Disregard daily limit.

Personally, I don't like changing the limit on what I bet on a day-day basis.

My reasoning is:

Lets say you have $1000 in an account and place 10 $10 bets in one day. You go 10-0 to push your account to let's say $1090.

Next day, place 10 $10.90 bets. You go 1-9. You are down to around $1001 after hitting 55%.

If on your second day you stick with $10 bets and go 1-9, you are at around $1009. You've hit the same percentage on the same games and have more to show for it that way.

Of course, eventually there comes a time when bumping it up is appropriate, but I see that as a "later" rather than "sooner" scenario.

I always play the same amount on every game. Why would you weight 1 game more importantly than the next? I bet the same for the year and then the next year I change my bet and bet that amount for the entire year.
