Bet,

Probably saw you often at The Mirage or Shadow around 10-15 years ago, if that's not back too far.

Probably ... lol
Been going there since 1989 when it opened. My first time there was a week before Christmas that year. it had opened like a month before
stayed there more than 40 times

Sounds very similar to my experience. We would almost have had to see each other. Certainly agree fully with your preference on The Mirage.

Yes Sir, and then at Mirage.... and then on to Bellagio for a while. Top Dog all the way. Right under the big boss.

Anyone been to the Hard Rock ??

Because I play at the Atlantis, they partnered with them and they keep sending offers

Been a million times - it's a real young crowd - hip crowd but not as much as say Encore or Cosmo - it's cool - I used to love Rehab pool years ago but it can get pretty ghetto now

I like Encore cuz of the pool there and Cosmopolitan is really tight

Yeah Figured that much. and agree on the Encore. Had a good time there last year. and probably one of the best suites I ever had

I remember I was suppose to meet up with you at the mirage, but you moved your 'Party' somewhere else that night.

Hope all is well

in march it was the first time in probably 3 years that i was in a strip hotel-casino.the only reason was because my buddies had a pod rented out in ceasars for march madness and i went with them.i really stay clear from the strip as much as possible,im just not into it anymore.

as far as picking my best hotel-casino in vegas it would have to be THE ORLEANS since i have stayed there about the last 5 to 6 years and that's usually twice a year.the others i would mention are,SOUTH POINT which i really like and LVH which i stayed at in march for 2 nights and it was a suite and it was very nice,as far as the regular rooms there i cannot say cause i have not stayed in them.

also i go downtown a lot anymore as i believe its the place to be anymore fun wise, its a good time down there just like back in the day

Seriously, I really enjoyed hanging out with you and Mrs. BAS at the Mirage pool a couple years ago. Thanks for the invite.

I haven't stayed at a lot of the new expensive hotels. out of the ones I stayed at:

Love:

The Orleanes - I love the atmosphere, food is pretty good here, limits are about my levels
Planet Hollywood - Also like the atmosphere, good location, and earl of sand holiday turkey kicks ass
Ceasars Palace - Little too big but it is nice and sportsbook/poker room are awesome

so-so:
Flamingo
Balllys
Rio
California
TI

do not like:
Fremont
MGM
Excalibur
Circus Circus
Plaza
Main Street

If you stay off the strip, Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock are great..

I love the Silverton. They give me everything I want and they have one of the most comfortable beds in Vegas. The size of the casino is just right. Their aquarium is spectacular and they even have floating jellyfish in tanks above the bar.

Love the Restaurants in the Mirage . haven't done the New Heritage Steak which replaces the old Steak House ... which was nice but Dated.

If you get a chance check out Japonais, Japanese grill. Get the Rock. They give you a Hot Rock where you cook your own Meat. Pretty cool and very good Food.
Portofino is another Top place there. You want to go when they open the Back room, which you wouldn't know it was there if it's not opened.

Couldn't agree with you more. Just tried the tomahawk ribeye at Stack in the Mirage last month. It was amazing at a much better price than the SW at the Wynn. Can't beat the eye candy at the Cosmo though.

Many of them are no doubt for sale. So happens, so is the hotel and casino. They are tanking!

surprised at the love here for THe Orleans, stayed there often, ez to get in and out, no parking hassles, no valets, no lines, safe, clean, good gambling, good food at low cost, good poker, low room rates. drawbacks, definitely not fancy or luxury, all locals, not near strip.

I used to have a hook-up at the showroom over there. Great "oldies" type shows. No frills.

You know, in these times when the casinos don't really even want a sportsbook (There are those of us who can rip their asses)..... a location where you can get to where you need to be is all you need. Clean place, comfortable bed, good shower, and so what? Get to center strip and you got how damn many great places to eat, party, whatever you want to do. You can only be in one place at a time.
