A fairly nondescript opening round between Overeem and Werdum. "The Reem" seems to be waiting for the perfect counter opportunity.

Much better round for Overeem. He tagged Werdum with a couple knees, an uppercut and a left hand while staying patient.
Werdum rattles Overeem with a knee in the clinch. Over is still wobbly as Werdum attacks.
Werdum follows up with a takedown and he's on top with a little more than 2:00 to go.
