by a player ( USA sports) ? I'm thinking NHL. The goalie could let a puck or 2 by virtually making the over a lock. 2 " extra" goals on an over 4.5 ought to do it. I don't think it happens, but the hockey boys may be getting hungry, when they return.

Baseball players make too much already. A rookie ( pitcher) doesn't want to lose, may get demoted, never to return. A veteran likely couldn't be bought, and giving up a few runs doesn't guarantee losing.

Football and hoops are iffy too. I think the goalie is the guy that could most easily fix a game, and not look to terrible while doing it. Lowest paid of the big 4, Plus, they will need $$$.

NHL players make loot. Has to be College sport where players are not rich. Try college bball. Easy to bribe won player to play like crap. 1 player can screw up your entire team.

I have to agree with you 100%. they can take a pitcher out in time for his team to come back and win. but in Hockey the goldie can let the opposing team score whenever, he controls everything, and he can make it look good where its not noticeable.

That's probably the best answer, I was thinking pros, but CBB is a big betting sport. The college kids are ripe for a bribe ( little money). You might have the refs fixing it the other way though.

The boxer that dives will not rise to the top. You have to be like 30-0 to get a shot at the big boys. Tennis is suspect.

all individual sports are easy to fix - boxing, snooker, darts, tennis etc and tennis probably has the biggest incentives to throw a game with the worldwide betting opportunities.

Horse racing is fixed on a daily basis - i say that as a winner at the game and not out of sour grapes and is so very easy to do especially by a jockey.

team sports are much harder to do but it does happen - look at Italian Soccer - where some matches near the end of season trade at -140 for the draw whereas normally would be aroung +225.

Hoops. A whistle here and a whistle there. That is the officials and any big star player can take a dive.

Bass fishing - there are certain fisherman that use the same trained huge bass every week. I know I have regognized one 4 pounder at 3 or 4 different TV tournaments.. Their easy to train, smart fish.

Definitely curling. They play for the "fun" of the game. Just one key missed takeout is all you need to throw a game.

I agree with JJ on basketball. I believe I remember one of the ASU guys saying how eaasy it is to just let your guy beat you when you are on defense.
