1) Loss of life will be significant, still far less than anything the whack jobs predict. Media takes credit and gives credit to everyone but a republican

2) economy starts growing immediately, losers still stay home like always. Media takes credit

3) Financial markets surge, doesn't help the losers though, never did. Media takes credit for the surge, still blames republicans for losers losing

4) ALL THE ASSHOLES THAT HAVE BECOME EMBOLDENED AND GIDDY BECAUSE OF THIS PANDEMIC CRAWL BACK INTO THE SHELLS AND SEWERS WHERE THEY BELONG

It's tradition

In a couple of years, libtard nation rewrites the history books. Says the democrats imposed the China ban and Republicans told New Yorkers in March to live their lives and what plays to go see

All the assholes start regurgitating that nonsense

No one has any clue - who would have predicted the Ukraine hoax seconds after the Russian hoax? no one

The depression caused by Trump's denial and deflection of the virus will likely last 5 + years. Multiple trillions of fake money being pumped into the economy will cause runaway inflation, savings will become worthless, mass bankruptcies will continue unabated.

The virus itself will ravage the economies of the world's biggest cities, people will be displaced, families destroyed, businesses ruined

That guy is losing it between the ears....sad, but seems apparent :think2:

Restaurant and entertainment industry will suffer for quite a long time.

Who wants to go to packed places, before there is a vaccine?

They do have better. But they weren't Libtarded enough for the base to get behind them.

The couple decent candidates they had who could have pulled in some centrist votes and maybe beat Trump never gained any traction because they weren't looney enough. Or they weren't Establishment enough. So they got pegged as "Russian Plants" and never had a chance.

So when the dust settled they end up with a senile old man from the Establishment. Good job Dems. Fucking morons...

Biden wouldn't have called it a Hoax nor fired the Pandemic Response Team, so he would've been several months ahead in handling it.

Seems reasonable that most eateries are already now - and for sure going ahead - retooling their model + employees (servers, bartenders, bussers etc) into pretty much a 100% delivery & takeout biz....with aforementioned staff who legally qualify being reassigned to driver delivery jobs. Prices will likely bump up a fair bit but consumer demand will offset it and thus a strong majority of well-managed operations will be in many aspects going 'full speed' by June 1 and however long thereafter in-house dining is impeded

Both GOP and Dem party at national level pretty much fell apart in the mid-Aughts thru 2016

GOP had no backup to a publicly-denounced GW Bush than stern, grandfatherly McCain and then Romney....And even eight years later they were utterly unprepared to "replace Obama".....If you doubt that, check out their primary field from late 2015 thru Super Tuesday 2016.....Trump, for all his buffoonery was able to step right over that pack of dimwits selling messages that had fallen out of favor a decade or more earlier

Meanwhile in about the same time span, Dems elected a man in 2008 who was 47 years old and sufficiently respected by the electorate at large to win again in 2012

BUT pretty much the day after his election in Nov 2008 the freaking DNC pretty much annointed 61 year old (at the time....69 yrs old in 2016) HillaryC as "the heir apparent" not acknowledging that the USA was not only fed up with Bushes, we also had little interest in any more years of Clintons. The stature and policies most promoted by WJ Clinton mostly served us well in the 1990s but 20 years later?

And now we (my fellow Dems) are on the precipice of running an almost 80 year old man who is steeped not just in "the 1990s" he is more about the 1980s....an era when over 50% of current voting electorate was age 17 or younger

To be countered by the GOP rolling out a reality TV character, faux billionaire, six time bankruptcy (multi-billions) plodder who is most aptly described in my signature block below

SEEMINGLY rough times for all concerned

But good news is that we (Americans) WILL survive long past the political lives of either Joe Biden or Don Trump...and we will absolutely come out of this current social drama related to COVID-19

Those men and this pandemic are completely Temporary parts of our world.....IF YOU choose to view them with sufficiently wide perspective

Pretty much agree with that part. The R ticket was ripe for the pickings and Trump happened to be in the right place at the right time.

D's have had 3 years to figure out who best could beat Trump. And they done fucked it up.

They are allowing restaurant alcohol "to go" sales here now. At least for the time being. It's like it's New Orleans or something.

Not that it would be anywhere near what they used to get. But every little bit helps in times like this I guess.

Well yeah, many rests in most of nation likewise :)

Hope to see some sensible adjustments to liquor laws if warranted during coming calendar year

Here in Pinellas County (Tampa Bay west) eateries are permitted to include up to two "alcoholic beverages" per adult on takeout orders (not delivery) if drink cups are capped and not consumed in vehicle (of course)
