last year in the 1st round of the women's
ncaa b-ball tourney. UConn was a -61.5 pt.
favourite over St.Francis(pa.)at a few
books. I took St.Fran and so did a few
other folks apparently as the line
dropped to -58.Being a rather mischievious
sort i thought about middling the game
with a wager on uconn at -58,but took
the risk and the frannies.who rewarded
my faith by losing only by about 45 points,
but still an easy cover.

I know absolutely NOTHING about Aussie rules football but I remember about a year ago on a slow sports night I glanced at an AFL game and saw +52.5 and played it for a 25% unit.
Lol, I had no idea (or still do) how points are scored in Aussie football. Hell a score could be worth 25 points for all I know but I saw and that said to myself "damn, that's a lot of points."

I did win by the way

How's that for having a gambling problem?

Yeah, I had a piece of that St.Francis at +59....couldn't see anyone leaving the starters in that long to cover that big a number....I had some team this year in the women's ncaa final...can't remember the teams but I took 42 points, my dog barked, was down by 3 at the half and only lost by 18....value is where you find it, doesn't matter what the sport is, but is there some reasoning to the pick....I mean take a look at Winkyduck's post about the +600 dog he hit in womens tennis...the two players played four times before and split 2-2.....why +600???......there is value out there if one looks for it.

I'm sure that there wasn't a spread on the game but I've read that the largest beating a team ever took was when Georgia Tech beat Cumberland University, about 80 years ago or so, by a score of 222-0. Imagine getting 221 points in a football game and not covering. Something like that might make you stop gambling.

I don't know about years past but off the top of my head but in this season's NCAABB, Weber State won around 15-17 in a row ATS.

Also, I think it was in 2001, the Indianapolis Colts lost 10 in a row ATS.

This season the Indiana Pacers were involved in 11 or 12 consecutive unders as well.

RE ND/SMU I remember betting that game on SMU after the Holtz comment and recall I won that bet. I'm travelling and don't have access to my records that far back but I will check next week. Maybe my memories failing 14 years after the game or as I was playing with a local at the time maybe the line got jacked up.

Does anyone remember what the SMU/Houston line was that year? Didn't Houston score in the 90's.
