doesnt mean a whole lot simply because of a light schedule. of course he's our best player but with just 2 EPL matches in the next 4 weeks (saints and wigan) and game 1 of CL group stage (team tbd) that is real lucky to only miss him for 3 games before 9/23 when they hit a patch of liverpool/spurs/CL#2/Newcastle all in a row. As long as he's back by 9/23 this shouldn't impact united at all...only that it's less time for him and rvp together
it means take RVP to score every game....my early thoughts of 7-10 goals in the EPL this season was based on him and rooney not playing well together ala drogba/anelka or drogba/torres or drogba and any other striker. So if RVP is the same player needed for man u as he did for arsenal i think he will thrive in the early go...and if he scores crackers like saturday he should score a lot. Of course the price for him to score anytime will probably be unattractive most matches.
