And now the Wisconsin head-coach (out-of-nowhere) ends up heading back out west. I wonder if he had this inkling prior
to the Ohio State game ?

There's your answer right there. Remember last year's Fiesta Bowl when Briles was knee deep in talks with UT? His team laid an absolute egg that week in Phoenix. When the HC has checked out I can guarantee the players and assistants have too. This was definitely a way for Anderson to stick it to Alvarez on his way out.

Interesting how the "books/odds-makers" didn't have an inkling about all of this. The Badgers a (4) point favorite....amazing.
Just goes to show, the lines aren't always as sharp as we think they are.

They knew what they were doing. They had a lot more than an inkling. They made a bundle off of Wisky bettors.

Haha….Sure. Really? You think Cinncy, TCU, and Boise St were on the level of Texas & Alabama that year? I think a few High School teams in New Mexico also went undefeated, maybe we should include them as well.
The 8-team format would have at least served to shut up the "BSU is number one" people.
