Any of the Jason Bourne trilogy flicks. I like the Matt Damon character, he is super bad but also takes his lumps unlike most action star franchise heroes. Considering the character is total fiction and could never actully exist he is a much more believable hero than IMHO any of the following:

All the comic book heroes natrually, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Ironman (wtf) and the rest.
Any member of the crew of the Starship Enterprise.
Rambo
Terminator (good or bad)
Laura Croft
Rocky
James Bond (save barely Sean Connery's Bond)
Luke Skywalker
Indiana Jones
Whats his name who is always killing Mummies
Neo and any Keanu Reeves franchised character hero
Riggs and Murtaugh (the Lethal Weapon buddies)
Harry Potter (LOL)
Dirty Harry
The Rock
Wolverine and company
John MacLane (Die Hard flicks)
Hans Solo
Cordel Walker (Chuck Norris) - probably the worst of the lot.
and the cake taking Jack Sparrow (props for being halfway funny)

I could think of more but I think you get my drift.

Wil....I think the latest James Bond flick from last year Casino Royale went more by the book than any of the other Bond movies...The Bond character in that movie took a beating as well as giving some out...Much like the Jason Bourne character. This was the tough spy Ian Fleming originally intended for 007 to be.

Point taken, I agree except for the house collapsing on top of JB into the Venetian canal with Bond surviving that, not to mention having his nuts used for batting practice by Le Chiffre. Ouch..

Gladiator is one for me.

On Max now.

I was getting ready to call you a peterpuffer then I saw a few posts down, someone said Titanic. Can you fucking believe that? I wouldn't watch 15 minutes of that movie again unless I was promised two blowjobs.

I agree...But if it was too close too real life we probably wouldn't go to see these action flicks...I forgot to mention, the casino gambling scenes also weren't bad in it.
