Call me an idiot, but I'm confused.
If you wanted to transfer money between you and your friend, why not just do it with neteller, member to member?
If you didn't want to pay their fee, then neteller to bank account and write a check to each other?

Don't get it. I do understand that things weren't that clear upfront, and those things happen. Not sure what you are looking for them to do now that would make any sense from their point of view. It would seem they might be willing to provide some accomodation for a future deposit.

Always read the rules, and if unsure (as is more often than one would like) verify, verify, verify. I just had to "remind" one of my books of their stated rules on runlines games. They will take care of their own error (not looking for anything extra), but it will take them a day.

assasin> first of all he does not have a neteller account because this is useless when you life in europe. neteller to bank takes weeks for us so most deposit and withdraw wu. he just wanted to have it with his book.
the rules say the following> In house transfers between two accounts can be processed as long as the sender does not have outstanding credit card deposits that need to be refunded.
when we make a mistake it is our fault - and it should be the same the other way around.

"@lander i am playing long enough offshore now but i have always been treated in the best way by any book but not from them."
------------------------------------

If you truly were playing offshore for a long time, then:

1. You had these bets hedged (scalps/near-scalps) at other shops, so that the risk would have been minimal to your overall bankroll. If this is the case, you have won the $5,500 at the other shops (if my life depended on it, I would bet this is what happened - not sure, though).

or

2. If you weren't doing Number 1, and you simply bet $5,500 on three favourites (in baseball of all things) assuming at least 2 out of the 3 would win, then you probably should not be betting offshore anymore.

Unless you are a multi-millionaire, and $5,500 is nothing to you, I find it hard to believe you bet $5,500 "naked" on 3 favs in baseball simply on the assumption that 2 of the 3 would win. Sorry to tell you, but if you were that dumb, you don't deserve much sympathy.

Bayer - Uncle will give you the official response but as a gambler and poster let me give you my personal opinion. If EVER there is a rule change, a misunderstanding, one of those "I was told differently" situations, ASK FOR CLARIFICATION AT THAT TIME!. Before you do anything else!! Do not go ahead and bet 5 dimes and when it loses come back to the forum seeking help. The Shrink has folks like me here to help people in player/book disputes but in order to do so you must keep your wallet in your back pocket when you have questions. Whatever the situation at no time should a poster make bets and expect to be paid yet feel if he loses maybe the bets won't count. Ask before you blow the money not afterwards. I don't care what book it is I would almost bet my life you are not going to get a quarter back on your bets.

Lastly I do feel for you but you always have the option of having them sending the money back to you if something has changed. In addition you have the option of sending your friend his money directly. No need to do a book to book and go through all this. If he isn't in the same town as you are and you don't want to send him some money orders or whatever than western union the money to him. Lots of options other than not understanding what is going on yet placing $5000 in losing wagers and now running to the forums! Again this is just Patrick the poster responding but I feel compelled to tell you not to get your hopes up in this case. Better luck to you down the road.

Sounds like a case of bad Customer Service.

What clerks tell you isn't always the case. Personally, I like to read all the literature including rules that they've made available.

Yes, you were given wrong information, but you made a bad decision. Either that or you may have wanted an excuse to wager the money.

@ halifax. yes i was that dumb at this moment. it was already near 1 am i was damn tired, my son was always crying and i have promised my buddy to have the money in his account the next morning. i was that stupid in that moment. but even then i would have lost 5 to 10 percent for nothing (after what i found out today). Once again i am not blaming the company for giving me wrong infos - i am blaming the guy who gave me the infos
@patick te rules say nothing else than what i have posted and when you read the rules they are more than clear

Bayer - no I think Uncle is still working on it, as soon as he is done he will let you know. This guy is very thorough and I respect that, especially in these types of cases. I just gave you what I see from what you have posted. I hate for you to get your hopes up on any sort of refund and then be let down. Uncle will have something official this week I would guess.

You have to remember the books are busy over the week-end and sometimes all the personnel aren't around to look into things completely. Try and be patient Bayer, things take time to do them right when you are a middle man. Someone said yesterday in an e-mail to me, in these disputes the players want their answer yesterday and the books want to answer tomorrow so it's a fine line to walk being in the middle.

Good luck to you.

The player could have just requested a withdraw and sent his buddy the money. That would of been less than 5%.

This fall in the duh category.

bayer1- The biggest mistake you made was making any kind of wager at all. You should have held tight until everything was worked out, which I think it could have been. There seems to have been a lot of misinformation in this whole thing but once you bet the money and lost, you really have no recourse.
