So far it appears that there are 3 possible candidates:
1. The "War on Terror"
2. The Economy
3. The current debacle in Iraq
If I were George Bush I would try my damndest to focus on the War on Terror to the exclusion of all else as I think that this is the only issue to which most Americans would ascribe him a clear advantage.
If I were John Kerry I would focus on Iraq. What a disaster. What started out, I think, as an attempt by the Bush administration to assert a greater amount of influence on the Middle East is turning into a public relations disaster with hundreds of Americans dying, and billions of dollars being poured down the drain.
Any other issues you think could define this election? What is the best angle for each candidate to use when campaigning?
