What is the bet online trading platform to play around with 250k?

This is good time to get into some stocks. But i have never really done stock market that actively and when I used it, i just did it through my bank's platform.

Wondering what is the best platfrom with good app? Please include the fees/and commission and if its safe/reliable for capital of up to 250k.

Fidelity and schwab I like. I also have vanguard but don’t recommend unless you are buying vanguard funds which are merely long term holds not short. Can’t speak to the others like E*TRADE etc.

you should not be paying the “house” anything at this point. Only fees you should be paying if choosing from the right pool of shops is what the fees within the stock or etf are and will be labeled expense ratios.

Fidelity is not charging me commissions on my trades.

I use Waterhouse. None of the houses now are charging commissions on trades.

interactive brokers will give you the best executions on option trades in addition
to equities with wider ask/bid spreads. in addition you will sometimes get commission
credits instead of costs depending upon the trade. they pay the highest interest on
cash in your account, lowest margin rate costs, and offer the highest
margin loan ratios if you need to use a margin loan. hope this helps.
