Still waiting for the response of some poster on here who I left numerous texts and voicemails about his one and only Kobe, the guy he calls "the closer". You disappear too?

It's NBA finals time, you cant disappear, especially when you have Phil Jackson resting you, you have a TEAM around you, and you have Hollywood and the refs on your side.

However you still turn the ball over like crazy when it counts and get rejected by Sloth from Goonies when it counts. Not to mention the weak crying and fouls you got.

Where are you?????? Disappearing like Kolby?

Kobe is a good player but not even close to MJ. Kobe takes nights off and not only takes nights off but he plays so bad down the stretch he would have cost his team the team if not for Gasol and Odom, the Magic basically giving the game away with weak turnovers, and the refs.

3 Turnovers, STUFFED at the end and stuffed badly, missed foul shot and if it werent for the refs feeling sorry for him (which by the way were HORRIBLE calls) Kobe would have cost his team the game at home in the NBA finals. This isnt regular season or even the first round of the playoffs. This is the NBA finals.

Derek Fisher has 4 rings, so if he wins, I am sure he is on MJ's level too and Robery Horry has a bunch so he is too. Get all that crap out of here.

"Closers" dont lose games for teams down the stretch in the NBA Finals!

Kobe is not and will NEVER be on the level of MJ.

As far as all this "closer" talk....GET IT OUT OF HERE. It's one thing to miss a shot or two and its another to just flat out look bad down the stretch of an NBA finals game.
so basically your thesis is, kobe got rejected at the end of the game, and therefore he is worse than jordan

deep insight. real fucking deep. maybe you should write a book.

Jordan is my favorite player of all time but just because you dont like Kobe doesnt mean you have to hate on my man like that. First of all Jordan didn't make every shot in the 4th qtr, in the finals nor every foul shot. Matter or fact when jordan retired the bulls were one bad call away from going back to the finals without him. So what do you got to say about that. If wasnt for people like John Paxson, Steve Kerr, Craig Hodges, BJ Armstrong who all hit big shots even game winners. That call on Scottie Pippen where he blocked Huebert Davis was terrible. Every great player needs his teammates to step up when there not on their A+ game.
Lets not forget when the lakers were up 3-1 vs Phoenix and all he had was Odom who was dealing with the death of his 7 month old son. Not to mention Smush Parker Kwame Brown Ronny Turiaf Devin Green Aaron McKie Jim Jackson Laron Profit Stanislav Medvedenko. What a roster. Most people are kobe Haters anyway. When you are great that is harsh the reality of it all. The love you or hate you. People even hated jordan so go figure. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Kobe is the Man, Stop all the Hating Bitches. LAkers up 2-0 lets go. Fuck all yall that hate Kobes game. He is not trying to win a Pulitzer Prize but a NBA championship. Aka MR. 81. Aka 62 in 3 Qtrs. Aka The best closer in the NBA.:cripwalk:Light up the Pure Kush baby^^:)

when i see kobe, i see a similar version ofjordan.

not as good, but close enough to make me debate taking 1 or other other.

i still say lebron ends up being better then all of them.

i agree with shub

even mj missed clutch shots, no one can make em all, and kobe is the hardest working player imo

but basketball is a team effort 5 players need to all do their job on the court to win, kobe gets all the credit but like rawpimple said kobe failed in crunch time, but since lakers won he overshadows how well everyone else played according to the press, espn highlights and newspapers kobe won that game.... but thats not how i saw it. ariza with a few steals end of the game, pau clutch shots and free throws from odom, great help teams defense from fisher and missed shots by the magics

theres not even a point in arguing with people like rawpimple... he's close minded and it's already in his head that mj is the best and kobe sucks. he'll never let it go, nothing kobe does will ever change his mind because... he's close minded and it's already in his head.

oh and bottom line

lakers won

whoever said that if kobe took lebron's place on the cavaliers, then they wouldnt make the playoffs is obviously a complete idiot.

This isnt about missing one shot or missing one read for your stupid analogies. This is about a collapse in an NBA FINALS game.

Not only did he turn it over 3 times in the 4th, he got completely rejected on a last second shot, missed a foul shot (for a 90% FT shooter) in the fourth, but had a horrible defensive lapse on the last shot that should have cost the Lakers the game. Is a guy known as the "closer" to some of you supposed to play so bad he costs his team the game in the finals? Get that "closer" crap out of here.

This is the NBA finals and when real players show up. He didnt show up and not only didnt he show up, he should have cost his team the game. I dont remember MJ costing his team the game in the NBA finals. Get that MJ comparison out of here.

This isnt missing one shot in a regular season game. Some of you are clueless and have HORRIBLE analogies.

Yes, Kobe is a good player but he should not even be mentioned with MJ. In fact, I would take Lebron over Kobe any day. At least Lebron brings it every night, doesnt rest, and doesnt even have one single player alongside with him. Lucky for Kobe, he has Gasol, Odom, and Ariza.

Not to mention the refs saved him too with some WEAK calls including the call at the end should have been a goaltending according to the NBA rules.

And the refs missed Howard sticking his hand through the hoop to block Gasol's dunk earlier in the game.

Like i said before maybe down the road James will be the man etc but now Kobe is the best MONEY player on the court, give me Kobe with the game on the line in playoffs games anytime., you can have James and his reg season mvp any day of the way, as imo James has a lot of work to do to tune his game, starting with how to make a damn foul shot with the game on the line....ck

since when does 90% = 100%? guy cant miss a free throw once in a while without you jumping all over him? he saved the lakers with his clutch free throw shooting against denver, give him some credit for that.

this was ONE GAME that he may have played average AT WORST. He wasn't bad by any means. He has stepped it up big time late in games throughout the playoffs and i know you see him... but of course you wait until he has his ONE average game to jump all over him. its funny actually, you had a long wait, i'm surprised you could keep your mouth shut for that long because it's been a long time since kobe's been average.

youll take lebron over kobe any day? lebron stepped up BIG in the eastern conference finals didnt he? especially with his season on the line, he stepped it up, right? he made it a contest right till that final buzzer. no bs from lebron james, he brings it every night, never takes a day off, especially not in an elimination game. and dont even bring up that crap about lebron having no teammates. kobe had no teammates one year and he pushed the elite phoenix suns to a game seven all by himself.

yeah the refs helped him out, but lets face it - they help out every superstar. lebron got the calls, mj ALWAYS got the calls. ALWAYS. there wasn't a game that mj wasn't getting calls. we all know he pushed off the defender and that's not the only case either. superstars get calls, it's not fair but it's human nature to give the elite members the benefit of the doubt.
