BP: not as cash-rich as Exxon, but about half the price and just announced will continue to pay nice divs. Trading almost near 52 week low right now.

what does "half the price" have to do with anything?

share price just based on number of shares outstanding relative to how they are valued as far as overall market cap goes and that is done factoring in overall revenue, earnings, etc...

actually if you want to compare the two

xom is 311 billion market cap company
bp is 111 billion

so in reality as far as overall net worth xom is worth ~3 times as much as bp

DRYS. shipper. was a 100+ stock been bloodied as well. Slim chance of them going under. down to 3.50 and change, downside risk is very very low. upside is incredible. 5k shares worth most you can lose is 15k, upside is hundreds of thousands, if not millions if it returns to levels down the road.

I would be hesitant to recommend DRYS for anything other than short term trades. Scientific studies have shown that the CEO couldn't give a shit less about shareholders. DSX is a much better long term play as far as shippers go.

Companys like GE won't go under but they may for Chapter 11 and it is over for the stocks when that happens.
