The largest source of gambling literature can be found at the Gambler's Book Shop in Las Vegas. Their website is gamblersbook.com. You will note a toll free number where you can ask for a free catalog as well as place any orders. If you have questions regarding good books to read on any sport, ask for Howard Schwartz, the owner if he is available. There is also a list of his latest reviews on the home page at the top.

Check out Bob McCune

Bob passed away 2 years or so ago but his work has always impressed me,
good luck.

Here is an unbiased Review

From Brendan McGovern, From gambling at About.com
The Bottom Line
McCune weaves a very cautionary anthology of stories and strategies for anyone thinking of betting on sports. The lesson: make it your life's work or don't bother betting even one dollar.

Pros

* Establishes foundation of betting rules to live by
* Debunks myths and highlights tendencies of losers
* Explains simple methods of profiting on wagering

Cons

* A little "folksy" at times and very repetitive
* Expensive at nearly $40.00 USD

Guide Review - Bob McCune's "Education of a Sports Bettor"
Like listening to grandpa, McCune rambles at times, but his lessons are timeless and surprisingly sophisticated. His strategies are methodical - aimed at winning at a 57% clip each day for modest gains. Disciplined money management, often ignored by the average bettor, is McCune's highest priority and he demonstrates to great effect the advantage of adhering to a set plan. His unapologetic analysis of the Average Joe and how carelessly he sabotages himself is impeccable and speaks to a history of mistakes that most can relate to. The lesson: sports betting is a legitimate career path to follow but you'll need the discipline to work 12-hour days, everyday, and stay grounded through the ups and downs.

I have over 15 sports gambling books and "Education of a Sports Bettor" By Bob McCune is probably the best one. The rest of his work is average but that particular book is excellent
