splitting 10's is the right play if the count is right. so never split 10's is incorrect.

Using hi/lo count it's the correct play to split tens with true count >= 4,5,6 against dealer 6,5,4 respectively. Though it will likely cause a watchful eye from the pit if one isn't careful.

I see what you guys are saying about if someone hits incorrectly at Blackjack and it could help as much as hurt. Theoretically that is true but if it an incorrect play prevents the dealer from busting and someone loses a very large bet it can put that player on tilt and affect subsequent hands and the comfort level at the table.
