Line has gone out to +6.5, so it looks like smart money is on the Buffalo's.
However, I think WSU will want to win out.
Tough ask but Colorado [10] Washington [6] and USC [13] plus win over ranked Stanford with 9/0 PC12 and conference champion should get them close to playoffs.
Don't see Leach going to sleep on this one. Opportunities like this don't come along that often.
Yes there's a lot of things in the positive column for both the Buffs and the Cougars.
WSU under Mike Leach has come up with 2 significant things they haven't had in the past...
a defense and a ground game. Of course they also have one of the best signal callers in the
country in Luke Falk. The coalescence of these new aspects of Leach & his coaching staff is
largely what put them on top of the Pac north. They casn lose ths game and still win the north
with a win over UDub next week. Either way next week's game is a must win for the Coogs.
This one is not.
Then there's Mike MacIntyre and the Colorado Buffs. As you probably know, their surge was
no surprise to me. It was predictable. They are loaded with senior players and they are at home.
Their offensive line is probably the best WSU has faced all season. Then they have a couple of
running backs that are as good as anyone in the conference, bar none. Believe it or not I have
to give them an edge at QB in this game for one big reason, Liufau's footwork and his ability to
extend plays. Both quarterbacks are deadly accurate but I have to give the Buffs an edge in
the running game. There's also an edge for the Buffs over WSU in total defense, #12 vs #50.
That's #12 in the entire country, believe it or not. The Buffs offense is also more balanced than
the Coogs. The last 2 points is the bone crusher. That leads to control over game flow.
What the hell, I'm playing them all !!
OR St. -6½/AZ
USC -10½/UCLA
Utah -12/Oregon
Stanford -10½/CAL
SDSU -10/WY
Colorado -4/WSU
ASU +27/UDub
By the way, someone mentioned a back door cover for the Devils over UDub. I think that's more
than just a possibility because the Dawgs will rest their starters for the big one next week and
sit on a lead late in the game
