Record: 2-6-1 -8.2 units

I took a mandatory 1 week break from football to refresh my brain and to eliminate any stupid plays such as Parma and two plays for one game.

For Monday, I will be playing:

West Bromwich Albion +0.5 and +1.0 +104 at pinnacle
for 1.5 units

West Bromwich Albion come into this contest in desperate need of a good result as they squandered away some points at Middlesbrough the previous week. They were a bit unlucky to be down 3-0 so quickly, but they had great opportunities to also have a 3-goal lead. After being demoralized by the first goal, West Brom played sloppy and let up 2 more before the first half.

Arsenal is now officially no longer the champions, as Chelsea won away at Bolton on Saturday. Arsene Wenger still hopes to have a good result from the FA Cup final and a bid for the Champion's league in order to make his team's season somewhat successful. The Gunners travel to the Hawthornes without scoring threats thierry henry and Freddie Ljungberg. They are considered to be heavy road favorites for this game as nearly 70-80% of punters will have their money on them.

However,

I will be playing the home dogs for this contest. West Brom's stadium will have an electrifying atmosphere, with former Gunner player Kanu promising that his team will be fighting for a good result, a draw being one of them. Boss Bryan Robson called on his players to play smart, decisive, and to take advantage of the opportunities that will be given to them. There won't be many of them as Arsenal is terrific on defense. Will Albion flat out beat Arsenal? No. But I expect them to perform at a high level where they can achieve a draw or better. If it become unfortunate that they do lose, I don't see it being by 2 goals. They are big underdogs in this game, and rightfully so, but I have confidence that the Baggies will produce a decent result against the Gunners.

Good Luck, and hopefully this can be the start of a nice streak.

I agree, I'm not going to bet the game, but I think you have the right side of it. All Arsenal has to play for is 2nd place against Man U now. They virtually do have a Champions League spot sealed up and Arsenal is DEFINITELY known to be a team that slacks off in some games.

I agree. West Brom will be up for this game and Arsenal are going to be without Henry and Ljunberg (again). This game reeks of a DRAW.

Good Luck

Amazing how the market was on this match!

Arsenal for several days was -3/4 Even Money, which in my point of view was a rather generous price, but not enough for me to have a bet. Then only on the day itself (VERY SMART) money does come in on them. And you can see it happen that (I know of at least one guy for sure and it was not me!) others start thinking: Huh, that price move is too big, we must get on West Brom! So money came back in on West Brom, then these very smart guys went: Thank you very much, we will bet a little more on Arsenal.

If this match would have ended in only 1-0 for Arsenal, it would have been a disaster for the books. It probably still was!

the 2nd goal was scored literally 20 seconds before the final whistle. If it ended 1-0, I would have at least received a push. This loss was very unfortunate but it happens.
