I mostly disagree w Aki's bombastic and inciteful posting style but absolutely concur with the forecast of this being a landslide
The past four elections have been sufficiently close in mid October that it's hard to recall the Clinton 96 and Reagan 84 smashings.
I am a big fan of Gary Johnson but find the LPA to be way out of touch with how the USA works in the 21st century. So my wife and I are happily voting Hillary Clinton
Sorry we dash the perceived profile as we both have college educations, have a combined household income right near 100k and are not inner city niggers. Sorry, HuskyFan
Bush 88 and Reagan 80 were far bigger than Clinton 96. It's kinda hard to call anything a smash when the candidate gets less than 50% of the vote.
this election will not come close to 80 or 84 or 88, Clinton has too many scars although the press is doing everything possible to assist her
as far as demographics go, plenty of people like you vote Democratic. The Republicans only win your demographics by something like 54 to 46 ish with slightly changing margins
the demographic argument is about the difference makers, the people that overcome those taxpaying demographic margins are the impoverished demographics and the uneducated demographics that vote democratic by overwhelming margins
when you rob from Peter to give to Paul, you'll always have Paul's support
LBJ locked up certain votes for at least 50 years now, but more so because of The miserable failure of the partisan Great Society than the bipartisan Voting Rights Act he was only able to pass because of overwhelming Republican support (the democrats in Congress would of failed to pass the Constitutional amendment, overwhelming GOP support pulled the bill over the top)
The liberal war on poverty has done nothing but put poverty on steroids and destroy the fabric of the inner city family. Impoverished people from dysfunctional families are the democrat's life blood, it's the air that they breath.
