I've done some research and some looking over my stuff during the All-Star break and I've come to a conclusion: I don't believe I'm a strong enough capper yet to be a long-term successful volume bettor. I'm only 22 and this is my first year attempting to cap baseball. I was doing $100 per unit but I'm not on the level of Woody, bucsfan, Mondo, sumday, Broncos, etc. where they have tremendous success betting multiple games.
Maybe in a year or two but I'm not anywhere near there yet. I also need to crack down from $100 units. I do have college related expenses that I should probably put that money toward. So I've taken most of my bankroll away to put toward life and now have a roll to cover $20 units.
But what I'm mainly changing, by inspiration of jbragg,sherwood & Ace, play 1, maybe 2 games per day and simply grind. It's unbelievable what Ace has been able to do with sub-$50 bets. He's the definition of a grinder. I need to do that. Same with jbragg. He's some ridiculous 25-5 or something with his money plays and it's phenomenal. Am I at their level? Hell no I'm not. Not even close. But I'm going to single grind like them and try to turn a more consistent profit. I've been caught up in short-term picture way too many times and need to readjust and refocus on the overall picture. So from here on out, I'll normally only be on one game or two and will be pulling for a smaller but more consistent profit.
I'm no longer going to be keeping track of units, I'll just be keeping track of win/loss and cash. I'll still research as if I'm betting $100 or $1000 per game.
So here's the post-All Star break goal: $400. So I guess, 20 units in the positive. If I can hit that I'll be pumped.
So the record keeping from here on out will be:
Win-Loss
+/- $
$ away from goal
So continued BOL to everyone and let's do some winning! This forum is an invaluable tool and I'm very happy to be a part of it. Whether it's to lend support, or maybe a solid pick or two, or even as fade material. GL!
