- Velez focus on Libertadores where they are in big race for top 2 spots with home match on Tue vs Penarol where a win would get them very near qualifying to KO stage. Because of this they only traveled youth and reserves and head to a place that is tough to get a result with A team. Belgrano are a great home club with just 4 defeats in 25 matches. While not a big name club they have been decent for a long time as you can see by sitting in 6th on table for avg ppg in last 3 years. Match will move to -1/2...

Everton / Man City double 2u to win 1.36u
- Everton shouldn't have a lot of trouble beating a Wigan B team as they are a good cup team and a great home team. Only Chelsea and Arsenal have won in Goodison in the past 15 months and no team have beaten them there in 2013. They have a poor run of conceding in 13 of 14 at home but that should come to an end tomorrow morning....using City win just to boost odds as that game will be ugly.

Hey roll, i posted a note in the baseball thread but I don't know how much you're checking in there lately. Anyway, can you take a few minutes to clarify soccer betting on sides? You already explained the totals to me, but I'm confused about ML, pk, and -.5 still. For example, last night on 5 dimes NYRB was +223 and SJ was+123 in the ML section. Does this mean that playing the ml in soccer is -.5? So to actually play for the tie, you'd need to take the pk bet? This is what i'm assuming but i'm just hoping to clarify.

you have Burnley a slight home underdog. if you want them to win outright you are laying -1/2 goal which 5dimes calls "Money Line". So if you take the +186 and they draw 1-1 you lose your bet. Your 2nd option is to take pk +100 which in old school soccer times means DNB (draw, no bet). In this case you can only win a bet by having Burnley win the match but if they draw 1-1 your stake is returned (thus, draw = no bet).

5dimes for many matches gives you drop down boxes for additional bets. in this match you could take Burnley +1/4 -138. What that means is that you are getting a quarter goal so if you bet that half your stake goes on pk line and half goes on +1/2. For a 100 bet in case of a 1-1 draw it would look like:
$50 pk bet returned
$50 +1/2 bet is won (-138 is same as 1.73 odds so $50 wins $36.50)
thus in $100 bet your full $100 is returned along with a $36.50 profit
