Ipswich News:
Ipswich will be without suspended defender Georges Santos. Santos is suspended; John McGreal could be given the job to replace Santos in the heart of defence. Leading scorer Pablo Counago is back in contention after recovering from a hamstring strain. Alan Mahon, on the bench in Wednesday's 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest, will also be pushing for a return.

Derby News:
Derby manager George Burley will monitor the fitness of Michael Johnson, Tom Huddlestone and Lee Morris ahead of the trip to Ipswich. However, Lee Holmes, who suffered a minor ankle knock against the Dons, is available for selection.

Comments:
Ipswich held Nottingham Forest to 1-1 at City Ground last match. Darren Bent gave Ipswich the 1-0 led early in the second half. Wes Morgan secured a well-deserved point for Forest with his equalize only few minutes after Bent’s goal. It was an entertaining game with many chances. Ipswich has scored 13 goals on their 6 latest matches, that’s more than 2 goals every match on average. The problem has been too many goals are conceded.

Derby won 3-1 home against Wimbledon last match after dominating the game from start to end. With the game delicately poised at 1-1 at the interval, Derby then took the game by the scruff of the neck with two goals in the space of three minutes early in the second half. Ipswich was held to 2-2 away against Derby only four weeks ago. Derby was up 2-0 at half time, but two goals early in the second half secured Ipswich one point. Both teams was close to winning all points in the final minutes. Huddlestone hit the woodwork with a long shot. Derby has only won 10 points on 10 away matches this season.

Preston News:
Preston has some problems in defence with both Rob Edwards and Lee Briscoe out with hamstring problems. But the good news is that both Chris Lucketti and Paul McKenna return from injuries. George Koumantarakis is still out with hamstring and calf trouble.

Crystal Palace News:
Goalkeeper Thomas Myhre is a doubt along with defender Curtis Fleming. Defenders Jamie Smith and Darren Powell are both out with thigh injuries. Striker Andy Johnson is out with an ankle injury.

Comments:
Preston lost 2-0 away to highflying Sheffield United last match. It was a fair result and gave a good picture of the match. After losing against West Ham and Sunderland in their two first home games this season, Preston has won 20 points home at Deepdale on eight matches. Preston is well known as a great home team, last season they won 40 out of their 61 points home at Deepdale.

Crystal Palace was held to 1-1 home against Coventry last match. Johnnie Jackson grabbed a stoppage time equaliser for Coventry to make it six consecutive draws for the Sky Blues. Aston Villa won 3-0 home at Villa Park against Crystal Palace in the Carling Cup in the midweek. Palace has been a bit of disappointment this season, much of the injuries must take the blame for the lack of form. Crystal Palace has a small squad and need to stay away from the injuries if they should have any chance to get a great final position
this season.

Herta Berlin News:
Simunic, Luizao, Hartmann, Ludwig, Chahed, Fathi and Marx are all out with injuries. Especially Simunic, Luizao and Hartmann are important to the first team.

Comments:
Dortmund lost 2-1 away against Hansa Rostock last match. It was a game with many chances, and it was not undeserved that Rostock won the match. Its home at Westfall Stadion Dortmund wins most of their points. Dortmund has a home record of 6-1-0 for their 7 home games this season, 19 points from a possible 21. That's a home point’s average of 2.71 compared to 1.64 for all games this season.

Herta Berlin manger Huub Stevens was sacked after the 3-1 loss home to Schalke last match. Herta Berlin has been the Bundesliga’s greatest disappointment this season, only Köln has won fewer points than Herta. For a big club as Herta Berlin, it’s untenable situation. Last season they ended up on the 5th spot. This season should have been the year when Herta Berlin took the step up and fought for a place in Champions League. Former Herta Berlin player Kjetil Rekdal is one of the hottest candidates to win the available manager job.
