Alright after whining and bitching about that tough Bucs loss I decided to dust myself off and get back on the saddle. More "square" plays this week, they were winning until last weekend. Gonna give it another go. My head was spinning a little after Monday night so I jumped on most of these without thinking.

Are you ready for some football?!?!?!!

Kansas City +1.5 1 unit
The Bears and Seattle aren't that good. Denver is. Should be a good game, looks like 2 somewhat evenly matched teams doing battle on Green Bay's turf, so anything can happen, but the Chiefs are capable of scoring more points than the Packers with big plays, so slight lean on the Chiefs.

Miami -3 2 units - best bet
Jacksonville is one of the AFC's worst teams, and Miami is among the best in the AFC. Miami will run Ricky Williams down their throat in the 4th quarter to cover by at least 4.

Denver -4 1st half 1 unit
Don't like the line I got for this one, but when Denver wins they usually seem to jump on their opponents early. I suspect Lelie will be good for a big play or two from whichever quarterback lines up for Denver, against that Steelers secondary the Browns once again exposed.

Bills -1 1st half 1 unit. - best bet
With or without Moulds the Bills are simply a better team than the Jets. The Bills struggle against teams with good defenses, a category the Jets are excluded from.

thinking about taking the Bucs as well, don't know with all those injuries, though.

3 team chase parlay:
KC+1, Miami -3, Buffalo -3 1.5 to win 9

Raiders AFC West Champs 3 units to win 5.4
Bucs Superbowl Champs 1 unit to win 6
Chiefs Superbowl Champs 1 unit to win 6.5

Totals:

Teasers:

Parlays:

ML:
0-2 -1 units

Props:

I like the halfs in action. I see you did your homework on Jack and see they are a good first half team. Good luck. I'm not sure what I am going to go with yet.

thanks MFG. hey so can I count 1st half bets as sides or do I have to make a new category, this list is getting sort of long-winded. I'll be interested to see if you take the Bucs 1st half again, it looks pretty tempting.

I added Tamps 1st hald for -1.5 points, 1 unit. They are a very good team the 1st half, Ramsey is not going to have good numbers going into the half, you can count on it. And the Bucs can score ontheir D. Easy money.

Oren--since you already have them all broken down you might as well break them down some more. Either way, it's totally your call. The Bucs in the first half is a strong consideration right now, I will say I definitely won't be playing the Skins in the first half. Still looking at the games for now.

thanks... I'm thinking about adding another parlay, I might get raped with that Kill Bill bet, odds on that one cashing might be 50/50 so far, and I'm not sure about that Chiefs play.

Maybe you should talk me out of it, do you ever hit 3-team chase parlays or is that generally a bad idea? heheh.

Oren- It's been raining hard tonight in Fl., hopefully that will help your KillBill selection. I don't know if weather reports matter in that aspect.

What is your opinion on the Raiders this weekend? I know you're a big fan.

well, their 2 staring defensive ends are out. Jerry Porter said he wanted to make it back from his injury for the Bears game, but his status is still doubtful, as is Romo's. Rod Woodson is questionabel with an ankle sprain. Their D is pretty banged up right now, and the offense is really struggling of course. The Browns are looking better with Couch in, as you know they looked really good against the Steelers. They are going to score some points against the Raiders soft D. The Raiders have to get something going on offense, but, I wouldn't count on it. The way they are playing I'd be surprised to see a miraculous return to last year's offensive production. Callahan's now on the hot seat, as are his assistants, so who knows maybe they'll come up with something. I didn't bet against the Raiders for 2 reasons. 1, they are notorious for losing by close margins. 2, I'd hate to see them win and lose a bet at the same time.

If I had to chose I'd take the Browns.

Wish I had thought out that parlay a little more before throwing a Moulds-less offensively-struggling Bills in the fold, but hindsight bla bla bla. Had a bad feeling about that Denver play as well. Maybe time to reduce the amount of plays I make, or something.
