YTD: 4-2 ATS

Miami @ NY Jets +2.5 (betcom)

This looks like the biggest sucker bet of the week to me. So I must be a sucker then because there is no way Miami is not going to cover 2.5 against the Jetless Jets. I know, I know, the Texans beat the Dolphins so the Jets have to win right? NO, the Dolphins and their dumb coaching staff were looking ahead I think and failed to adaquetly prepare themselves. The Jets on the other hand couldn't do anything right against the Redskins. The Jets have covered 4 of the last 5 meetings, but the here and now is what is important to me. The Dolphins will get back to basics and get Ricky the ball 30-35 times. The Jets and their aging offense in my oppinion just don't have the speed for this game.

Phins -2.5

Rams -3

Redskins +3

Chargers +3

Eagles -4

Adding:

49ers @ St Louis -3

Maybe I am just not seeing straight this week or people are over judging the 49ers destruction of the the Kordell Stewart led Bears with no offensive line. Yeah, the Rams lost to but think about this. The Rams were never out of the game and Kurt Warner turned the ball over 5 times himself. The Rams defense has been overlooked the past two seasons in my oppinion. This weak Marc Bulger gets the start. He was 6-1 as a starter last season with a QB rating over 100. The 49ers are guaranteed a lot of Marshall Faulk in this one. Mike the retard Martz has been under a lot of pressure from the St Louis fans and media for not using Marshall enough. The 49ers have some serious questions at DB as well. I think the Rams are going to win this one easy in a blow out.

I know, nothing is working in our favor here. Even in my power rankings I only have Miami at -3. I usually only bet games with 2 point or more difference off my power rankings. I have to go against them here. Miami is to solid of a team to drop two in a row, I don't care who they are playing. Now if they had a real coach they would be 13-3.

I also like situation Miami is in here. The loss vs. Houston and this game at the Jets sandwiched b/n a home game vs. the rival Bills. Miami knows how big this divisional game is for them. (Which is also why I like the Bills this week). Good Luck this weekend.

The loss to the Texans almost makes me think that they have been practicing for this Jets game. I think "looking ahead" tends to be overrated, but that is the only explanation there is for what transpired last weekend.

I'm also taking miami
i think vinny was a good quarterback but like marino should have left the game two years ago
he makes bad throws, and look for miami to pick
the ball off.ricky should have his way against
the jets weak run defense.

taking the 49ers here it should be a good game both have high scoring offense that should make this game close and 49ers should cover the 3 points if not win this game.

best of luck.

I have to disagree with Ram selection. Teams know Bulger better this year & I seriously doubt him having the same success as last season. If the Rams don't get Faulk involved early on this thing could get ugly for the Rams. I can't see Bulger beating the 49ers thru the air this time! But now if Martz does get Faulk the ball for 20+ carries it just might be enough to get the cover. If I was playing this game I would bet AGAINST Mike Martz period!...... Since I'm not playing this one though good luck Chad!

Thanks Saintjoe. I think you are underestimating the Rams defense. Their secondary is banged up, but i don't think the 49ers will be running anywhere in this one. Marshall Faulk will get the ball 25-30 times watch. That will set up some deep Bulger throws against a very suspect 49ers secondary.

Whoa, OK, when was the last time Faulk has seen that many carries?,....LOL anyone remember?

Its been raining all day today and will be tomorrow also. I will probably also lean with the fins for they should have a better running game.

Kodiak: Great to see you back, didn't think you were going to be back.

Saintjoe: I mean 25-30 touches, not carries

If I was the coach he would have 40 touches though, Mike Martz is an arogant bonehead though.

Redskins +3 @ Atlanta

I really like the way this game shapes up for the Redskins. Atlanta's two starting safeties are out. A rookie is starting at free safety and I am not sure about the strong side. Washington loves to air it out and this should help greatly. Champ Bailey will shut down Peerless Price. With Brian Finneran out it makes me wonder how the Falcons are going to complete anything.

Well, looks like I went 3-3 (technically 4-3 thanks to the wife

Bad beat on the Bears, but you have to take the tough ones to get the tough wins, you have to do your time I guess.
