Carolina has been arguably playing the best defense in the league in the last few weeks. Panthers have jelled as a team following all the injuries. They have been playing error free ball control offense and opportunistic defense, all the qualities that took them to the Super Bowl last year. In a do or die situation look for them to come through at home. New Orleans will self destruct as always.

Carolina-7 :103631605 You can buy it for -112 at Pinny if you need to. Might be 7 on its own by game time.

Some intersting reading

New Orleans over Carolina
Saints have won and covered each of their last three games, while allowing less than 300 yards in each contest. The Panthers have been favored by more than 7 points only two times since 2000, failing to get the money in either game. Take the points with revenging New Orleans here today.
The Saints have hopes of making the Playoffs'.
They need a Victory Over the Panthers in this NFL Conference matchup. The Saints are 2-0 ATS vs the Panthers in Charlotte the L3 meetings. The Vegas oddsmakers have gone overboard with the line on this one. Its' you opportunity to take advantage of their error. Take New Orleans plus the points in this NFL Now or Never matchup.New Orleans is 11-3 ATS on the ROAD in the last 4 weeks of the NFL SEASON .Some info from the PlayBook

<HR color=#cd5713 SIZE=1>HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL OF MY FAVE COVERS
POSTERS/CONTRIBUTORS!
I fully realize that this is one ugly card for many obvious reasons and there are only two
games where both teams have a lot on the line and they are both early games
non-dependent on any possible type of earlier result.

BUT one line really hit me from the moment it came out and i still cannot believe it has
not moved much perhaps the many sharps are still caught up in new year’s day revelling.
I’m talking about the SAINTS +7.5...
both teams are 7-8,both teams have a shot at the playoffs-one just has to knock the other
off and hope a few other moons within the playoff scenario universe get aligned .last time
carolina covered a spread this big at home was all the way back to 1999 !
here’s a few more strong trends:

no/car...
car 1-3 ats at home in final game.
no is 8-4 ats on the road in final game s 77.
no is 9-1 ats as div road dogs s 00
the road team covered 7 of last 8 in series.
the dog covered 6 of last 8 in series...(6-0 run)

Haslett is now 9-0 ats as a road underdog of three or more.
New Orleans is 10-0 as div. road dogs of 5 or more.
John Fox plays it close to the vest and is just 6-11 ats as a home favorite in the reg.season
I have heard so much about this panthers club as they went on a 6 game winning streak
prior to their valiant OT loss to the falcons last saturday nite ( tremendous ballgame) but
let’s look at who they beat.....SF,AZ,TB X 2 (grammatica missed 3 FG’s and lost his job
in the first meeting),NO and STL w/ chris chandler offering them 6 picks, none of which
they could capitalize on in a 20-7 game with no score in the 2nd half when he threw most
of his picks.Combined these teams “racked” up a 26-49 SU record (.346%)..hardly a
worldbeating call to braggadocio.no wonder they “found” some offence.

now the saints were not beating up on teams of any higher calibre but no less either.in the
32-21 loss to carolina the saints had 3 turnovers that all resulted in points scored on them, 10 quick
penalties and a 23-0 deficit in a blink of an eye. they fought back hard .saints have found
a little defence, have not pulled their trademark “we see the eye of the playoffs swoon”
and have excelled on the road where the panthers have been abysmal==>in their own
home.

YOU ARE TALKING TWO INTER-DIVISIONAL RIVALS W/ EXACT SAME
RECORD,THE DOG IN THE MUCH MORE IDEAL SITU ,INJURIES PLAGUING
THE DEFENCE IN CAROLINA.ADD TO THE MIX THAT THEY BOTH HAVE AN
EQUAL SHOT AT MAKING THE PLAYOFFS AND ..........................................

YOU ARE GONNA GIVE ME 7.5 POINTS.....SIGN ME UP.
This is as stellar a proposition as the chargers were in last week and very similar in many
aspects..I do not see brooks and haslett and co. laying an egg here. Many may want to
consider the ML play here on nawlins.

Get your cajun crayfish while they’re hot ! </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

At 7 most establishments now. 7.5 looked mighty tempting. Panthers haven't lost to the spread since 11/7. Started doing the Super Bowl Shuffle ala the Bears, Doing it with defense. Have already spanked N.O. in their house. "If I can beat you at your house, I'll whip you in mine." N.O. needs a restraining order.

Well the luck ran out on the Panthers and the TOs killed us.

Only consolation is "At least I didnt take the Vikings today." What a pathetic team. Cost me money here a couple of times.

PITBULL-My apologies.I did not realize that you were the moderator .

I merely had a cut and paste attempt go awry.I was trying to same myself time typing it all over again.Next time I'll be sure to pay you the fee upfront.

Once again I see you were on the wrong side of a very beautiful play.:103631605
