Week 14 Teaser (opinions)

hello forum followers-- just chiming in here. after last week and going up 75 units for the season I cashed it all out--- paid off a credit card and some student loans-- not bad for a 2 unit investment at the beginning of the year...

however, i am back (lol), i decided to put another 2 units in my account (which if i lose, will be covered by a -280 to win 200 play on Manning breaking Marinos record). I also have a friend who is giving me 2.5 units to make some money for an independent film he is making.

so here's my card 6 point 4 team teaser:

Indy -4
Philly -3
Buffalo -5
NE -5

2.5 to win 7.5

thinking about putting 2 units down on this for myself as well.

i'm not sure there is much that will change my mind on this, but i'm always open to peoples thoughts/observations/analysis.

I'd probably fatten the points with the Redskins and Browns. It's hard to bet against the Eagles, right now, it's true, but I've got them at just under a TD favorite, and I think the Redskins D. will keep them close. The Browns have been in disarray with the QB carousel and coaching changes, but don't forget, the Bills had to come back from 10 points down to the Dolphins last week to win! Good luck and congrats on working those 2 Units like Starr Jones in a Baskin-Robbins.

thanks for your thoughts on the browns/bengals-- i'm not sure what i want to do with those games just yet.

I just added another 2 units to my account -- so maybe i can take that hog out for ice-cream again

be carefull taking JUST favorites in your teases in the NFL, you pigeon hole yourself, because ONLY one team can win for you to cover. if you take DOGS in your teasers( not always but mostly) either of the teams could win and you might cover. When you take the fave, they MUST win for you to cover. as we ALL know because of parity in the NFL , there are upsets EVERY week, thats why i say ,GENERALLY speaking, it is better to put DOGS in your teasers.

and by the way, i truly believe that the texans are a live dog this week, their last game at home against the colts was one that coulda went either way and the colts were playing for a playoff spot , while the texans were playing out the string, so watch that one

thanks for your post, i understand the concept of picking a favorite and there is only one way to win if you do so--if you notice, my teaser is not just favorites, i have an 2 overs and the bears-- coupled with 4 teams I feel strongly about winning. I think Indy, NE, and PHI win outright and by at least a touchdown. The SD game I think will be close-- so I don't mind crossing the line and taking them at +1. A smarter person might take TB +11, but again, I like SD to win-- and if they start rolling and blow out TB, my 11pts are crap. I pick the winners.

NE/Indy/PHI are a big reason i'm up as much as i am this year, while it is conceivable (any given sunday) a team can pull an upset-- and i'll lose. I feel real good about my two teamer-- if i had not made a promise to cash out 99% of my winnings, i would probably put a few more units on it. I am not putting any major money into a 7-team teaser, but I do have the beloved (bears) in there for my dog, thinking about taking them on the money line as well. Lovey has this team playing very well, and if the O-line can give Hutchinson some time to throw, it could get exciting.

I think the Indy/Hou game will be all out battle among division rivals. 10/10.5+ points on Hou might be enough-- good chance we're both on the right side here.
