With this being the first week, and with all the teams playing and all the teams available, there are a lot of options. However, remember that the first week is the most unpredictable week of the entire season, so choose your teams wisely. The three teams I like the most are the Saints, Texans, and Bears. All three of those teams are favored by at least a touchdown and are all at home against significantly weaker opponents. For example, the Bears and Saints are going up against rookie quarterbacks, while the Texans are going up against a Dolphins team with significant issues. As mentioned in my weekly video I like the Bears the most this week. Although the Texans may be the safest pick, they are not the smartest pick. Hopefully you will last a few weeks, and you may find yourself looking for a safe team. The Texans play in a weak division which means they are going to be solid options a lot more than the Bears who have to play the Lions and Packers twice a year. On top of that, the Bears are simply the second most favored team this week (only behind Houston). During the offseason Forte recovered from his injury, they brought in Brandon Marshall, and they brought in Michael Bush. I believe a #1 wideout is just want they needed. He will prevent teams from loading up the box and will keep them honest as a down field threat. Him and Culter have been successful with one another in the past, and I do not see a reason why the cannot torch the Indy defense that was awful last year and will be without some key players. The Bears in my mind are the best pick this week when you factor in value and safety.
