ANALYSIS: Texas Southern is playing in its third straight play-in game, having won the previous two by eight and nine points. Don't be fooled by the Tigers' 14-20 record; they were talented enough to be the preseason SWAC favorites and took down Arizona State during a murderous non-conference schedule. While the Tigers went 7-11 in conference play, they got healthier and turned it on in the SWAC Tournament. Texas Southern doesn't shoot well from deep but features four players who average double-figures in scoring; the Tigers rank 68th nationally in rebounding. FDU, which has the nation's shortest starting five, is an amazing turnaround story, but the Knights rank 361st in defensive efficiency.
