DATE/TIME: Wednesday, July 19 - 7:05 PM EST
WHERE: PNC Park, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Zach Davies has won four consecutive starts since he was pounded by Pittsburgh a month ago and will get another crack at the Pirates when the visiting Milwaukee Brewers continue their four-game series at PNC Park on Wednesday night. Milwaukee is coming back to the pack in the National League Central following its first three-game skid in over a month.
Despite his struggles against the Pirates last month, Davies is unbeaten away from home this season while logging a 5-0 record with a 3.62 ERA in nine starts. Brewers third baseman Travis Shaw, who is 5-for-9 in the series, homered among three hits in Tuesday's 4-3 setback and has gone deep three times with eight RBIs over the past six games. Starling Marte returned to Pittsburgh's lineup after serving an 80-game suspension and went 1-for-3 while drawing a walk in his team's decisive four-run rally. The Pirates, winners of three straight and nine of 11 to draw within five games of Milwaukee, will counter Davies with right-hander Gerrit Cole.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Brewers RH Zach Davies (11-4, 5.08 ERA) vs. Pirates RH Gerrit Cole (7-7, 4.35)
Davies earned the win against Philadelphia last time out even though he was knocked around for six runs (five earned) and gave up five walks over 5 1/3 innings. The 24-year-old pitched at least six innings in each of his three previous starts after the Pirates pummeled him for seven runs and 10 hits over five innings on June 20. Davies won at Pittsburgh on May 7, allowing two runs and four hits over 5 2/3 innings.
Cole did not factor in the decision last time out versus St. Louis but he recorded his fifth quality start in six outings with six innings of two-run ball. The 26-year-old is 4-1 over his last six turns, including a win at Milwaukee on June 19 in which he yielded one run and three hits over seven innings. Cole has split six career decisions against the Brewers, holding Ryan Braun and Eric Thames to a combined 1-for-16.
