Seth Smith swatted a pair of big flies, knocked in five runs and walked once in Sunday’s win over the D-backs.

Smith has been totally locked in recently, going 13-for-24 with four jacks, 10 RBIs and nine runs over the last six games. He’s been steadily raking the ball since the All-Star break, batting .339 with eight dingers and 25 RBIs in 40 games to raise his average to a season-high .317.

Minnesota faced Huff twice in August, once lighting up the lefty for seven runs and 11 hits. On Sunday, he gave up one run on two hits in seven innings, holding Minnesota's lineup save for Denard Span and Nick Punto hitless. Cuddyer and Justin Morneau each went 0 for 3 and have combined to go 0 for their past 35.

Thinking of playing the Phillies team total. They're avoiding a sweep and they've only managed to score an average of 2.33 runs per game so far in the series. I think they're going to explode tomorrow. I think the line will be at 5.5.

Colorado's team total Over as well.

Carpenter minus 208 seems like a bargain.

Don't see him losing to this squad.

Bush is a sacrificial lamb

Bush (triceps) will start Monday against the Cardinals, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.
The start was in question while he awaited medical clearance. Nothing is physically wrong with Bush, but you may want to stay away Monday anyway. He allowed eight runs on 11 hits in 3.1 innings in his Sept. 2 start against the Cards.

Because they bat last.

It's just how the odds makers do it.

Look at the Cards tomorrow, they are -140 on the RL

because they are the road team.

Conventional wisdom is you don't bet a rl unless you are getting plus money.

Why bet the Cardinals -1.5 -140

Just lay the -200 if you win you get paid the same no matter how much they win by.

Cubs and Yankees for tomorrow.

Coming frmo a diehard lifelong Cubs fan and profitable bettor, how the HELL can you put money on the Cubs at this point in this season? Especially at -165? Absolutely not, even though I love Teddy, its just not worth it or profitable long term here..

iM leaning Yanks and Sox.
FOr some reason I just don't trust Carpenter, he is the shit but STl's bats always seem to dissapear when guys like Carpenter and Pinero take the mound.
Colorado is nice but fuck I don't want to bet against the Reds right now. They are red hot and have won like 7 in a row.

Which means what? That they expect them to win but only by one point?
The idea behind it is, if the home team wins they don't get the full 9 innings to hit (unless the game goes into extras, in which case it's also unlikely they win by more than one).

Well this has dropped to -190

Thinking the powers that be are saying just flip flop what happened 5 days ago.

Just don't see that happening.Brew Crue took 12 innings to score 2 runs.

They scored 2 runs in all three games vs giants this week end.

Carpenter and Wainright both eying the coveted Cy Young award.
