WC 2018 & 2022 sites are set

2018 = Russia
2022 = Qatar

IMO, a major blackeye for the sport as neither of these nations, particularly Qatar, deserve to host a world cup. Hell the Russian Prime Minister didn't even support their bid

Don't even know where to begin with Qatar, a nation that cares little for football, has 1 major city, and boasts all of 50,000 hotel rooms

they put the 2022 wc in a total islamic extreme nation so the world can gather for what many consider the worlds greatest sporting event.....hmmmm....(insert sarcasm now)...i am sure security will be more than adequate....i can't even imagine mounted law enforcement on a CAMEL!!!..step out of line and man greets you with a hand-grenade....caught drinking a beer=hand gets sliced off...i could keep going......but you are exactly right...blatter only cares about$$$....have fun playing soccer matches in 150 degree heat...they must be developing a cooler right now that covers the country...a la the glass force-field that protected over the legion of doom in the superfriends cartoons....i am being stupid right?....no, the powers that be are right...qatar(w/o a 'U') definitely are a deserving soccer powerhouse nation...i can already see one of the last euro/s.american countries or mexico-us getting shafted cuz this gulf coast country gets an automatic bid....one word...EMBARRASSING...cheers..

Yup. Qatar does have CASH.

I am wondering what the heat will be like and whether those stadiums will be partially enclosed.

saw this comment and had to laugh: Way to go FIFA! What great selections Russia and Qatar are! Let's move forward to Borneo in 2026 and Greenland in 2030! And don't rule out Antarctica for 2034! Could Blatter and the boys be any more screwed up?
