those trends are useless varkey.

i respect wand a lot. just disagree with him on this one.

then again, i was was wrong about Stl last monday night. I guess they didnt feel their season was on the line until yesterday!

i dont think this game will be close tonight and think Pitt wins by DD. I could be totally misreading this team though and if they cannot rise to the occasion tonight vs Fitz then season over.

Only if you can afford to lose 5k.

I will take the rested team with the far more superior defense and some points. Fizzlepatrick scares the crap out of me but all he has to do is hand the ball off and hit a few pass plays for the Texans to win. No mistakes!!!

Pitt never loses to Cleveland and they got rolled. Media hype does not motivate these players. For whatever reason the Steelers do not seem motivated or on fire.

Texans always have that with JJ and crew.

I have been wrong before and I will be wrong again. I think the more well rested team pulls out the W in the end.

Ya know, think I told ya how much I like the Av, huge Trilogy fan, but being from the Burgh, having bet against them at the appropriate time, tonight is NOT appropriate. Steelers by 10 tonight, "Book it Dano!"

Good luck WW I'm on the over Texas team total ... I was impressed with what I saw of Texas vs IND and even more impressed with that lose, after the Cincy game where the colts shut out the bengles. The Steelers have struggled defensively they are getting worse.

Steelers havent lost on MNF in 20 years. Just sayin

that's just simply not true. they lost week 2 last year MNF to Cincy.

now if you say they havent lost at HOME on MNF in 20 years, then OK. but they've only played twice in the past 6 years on MNF...so...yay and stuff...but they are also 0-3 ATS their last 3 MNF home games and that's what matters more than winning SU here

All over Houston tonight , Steelers have no way to protect Big Ben and their defense is just not any good.
Ok Monday night under the lights at home does play a small roll
But once we get into the 2nd quarter you can kick that adrenalin rush to the curb
Houston Straight up and game will go over if Steelers can get around 21 points.

Jesus, someone finally hits the nail on the head. So many people parroting that stat over and over (check the latest thread). I couldn't have put it better myself. Two wins at home in 6 years on MNF is a pretty weightless stat as that sample isn't enough to take seriously when the teams, match-up and coaching staffs are completely different. If you are going to even look at a stat, look at 0-3 ATS in their last MNF home games over whether or not they won/lost. Even if you're betting money line, 3 games isn't enough to base your entire betting strategy and if you think it is, that's just a bad strategy. You would seriously be better off just basing your entire strategy around which team you thought was better overall or playing better.

Here's a stat: 9/10 of the top players in LVH are picking the Houston on the current line +3. I'm not predicting Houston is going to walk away with this game, it's just a tough bet on either side and obviously just going off a stat of two home wins in 6 years of play on MNF is pretty worthless.

I think it's either gonna be a close game with many turnovers or high scoring game with many defensive + special teams mistakes! Is there an over under on turnovers? Ha
