Went to the Borgota and Ocean today...the Borgata is pretty small and the electronic board is impossible to read unless right on top of it...imagine when football comes it will have some problems...they do offer a lot of different options like soccer and WNBA...it seems like a race book instead of a sports book....they have a lot of work to do...

The Ocean is run by William Hill and the expansion is underway to make it bigger...looks like it will be big enough to handle all the action on Saturdays and Sundays...was really impressed....I talked with the manager and he answered all my questions...I told him I had experience in offshore...he was very cooperative and we had a fifteen minute conversation..he said their main concern was catering to the expected crowds for football season and making them comfortable...

Will be hanging around for a couple weeks in AC...playing poker and betting a few games...anybody want to meet up at these books just give me a shout...

ya that borgata board sucks lol. Ive been betting baseball and using the sheets instead of looking at it. I believe there going to renovate the section right next to the racebook and make that the official sportsbook. From what i heard there going to dump around 7 million into it.

Keep in mind all the Sports books in AC are Temporary for the moment ...............
Expansion will be necessary , Especially for Saturday/Sunday Football the way things are right now will not work out very well .......

Borgata will use the Signature Room to expand and I hope this will work out -Because this is the easiest access for me!!! and in my opion overall the best hotel in the city for everything else........
And as you mentioned Oceans room should be be fine when complete

Harrah's opened a Small Area also right around the corner from the poker room (also very small) not sure if this will be the final home

and Ballys (Wild West side) has what looks to be the Biggest dedicated area and I was told they will also be sinking in a few 7 fig-$ in improvements (but will take about 9 months to complete...)

Enjoy your Visit ............ $$$$

impressive:

Football action in AC — in the 10 brick-and-mortar sports books, and on the 11 betting apps — will hit $113 million this weekend, one expert forecasted, which is a pretty good out-of-the-gate start for Jersey and likely to impact the nation’s other gambling Mecca.
“Last year Nevada was $158.6 million [for its Super Bowl handle],” said Nick Bogdanovich, director of trading for William Hill US, which has betting outlets at Ocean Resort and Casino and Tropicana in Atlantic City, and at Monmouth Park racetrack. “I am not sure if we will hit that this year.”
Gouker chalks some of it up to technology. “The apps in New Jersey are better than those in Nevada,” he said. “We expect New Jersey to surpass Nevada [in annual handle] in the not too distant future.”

Well they didn't quite hit their target " only bout 34 million wagered in nj
and they books had a net....loss of 4.5 million"....things should get better,

compared to Las Vegas 146 million with a 10 million dollar win"......Vegas still king

I wonder what the % was online to onsite in New Jersey.

Their online market is where the real money will be made.
