I always hesitate to say anything negative about VIP since it is highly rated almost everywhere, since doing so may hurt my reputation as a poster.
However, I can confirm maximumv's experience as similar thing happened to me last year.
I was a casino player then and VIP was the first place I tried sport bettings.
VIP offered D/B/WR = 200/200/6000 sign up deal.
I signed up, played some BJ.
Curious about sport betting, I start to bet on MLB lines. At that time, I did not know anything about the sport betting. I naively thinking that underdogs gave me better deals because the win amount was bigger.
My beginner's luck was so good that my balance of $400 quickly became $6000+.
Then they locked my account even though I had not requested any payout yet, and threatened to send my deposit $400, not the balance of $6000, back for the "fraud" that I played at its sportbook. They said I have to wager $6000 in casino, which the rule did not say.
I told the manager the following:
1) In the rule, it did not say I could not play at sportbook.
If you wanted me wager $6000 in casino,
then do not count sports wagering towards the wagering requirment;
2) I did not make withdraw and was in the process of finishing the wagering requiment in casino. Thus, I did not violate the rule on wagering requirment.
A few days later, VIP unblocked my account after the manager met with his supervisor and reconsidered my case.
It was possible that I would ask for a payout after the total wagering in sportbook and casino exceeded $6000 since its rules did not specificly say to wager in casino only.
Had VIP waited until that occured, I would have been in a weaker position.
The incredible beginner's luck arouse my interest in sport bettings, while the experience at VIP reminds me that things can go wrong even at the top rated book.
One has to not only read their rules, but also GUESS what is the manager's real intention when he wrote the rules.
I have played at some other books since then, there is only one book offered me a worse experience than VIP.
