Guys no matter how many times you explain it, some just won't get it.

Some of us would spare the guys life, and others are trigger happy.

People argue that we might act differently in that situation.

You're right, we would act differently...

We would see a guy who's already shot up, lying on the ground helpless, no threat to anyone, and not keep pumping bullets into him.

Some of us would spare his life instead of INTENTIONALLY ending it.

Its common sense.

And again, if you are that scared, then you have no business being a police officer to begin with because someone who scares easily & panics easily has no business carrying a gun with a license to shoot & kill someone at will.

Its these kind of cops that have the nation in an uproar & the kind you just want to beat the fuck out of.

You have good guys, like texasfan, but then you have bad & senseless cops who you want to spit in the face of & bitch slap...

You make it sound very easy given you weren't there. Really easy to armchair QB the actions of a cop after the fact.

But fuego we can use the exact same argument.

It goes both ways.

But i can tell you without a doubt, if someone is on the ground, helpless, no weapon, and probably already dying, myself and others are not going to continue shooting him.

Why would we?
There's not one single reason to.
Not one!

Besides, isnt that part of what this site & every person in general is all about?

Always playing armchair to our sports teams, athletes, president, neighbor, and so on?

It makes for lively discussion...

You guys with "shoot him with a stun gun" "shoot him with a taser" "shoot in the leg" don't get it. Our law enforcement officers face life and death situations every day. If you don't want to get shot with a gun, comply with the police. I counted over thirty commands from the police to keep BOTH HANDS up and this guy didn't comply. I think he wanted to die because he said "I hate my fucking life" as he approached the police. He was reaching for something. It could have been a gun or a knife. I side 100% with the police and to say otherwise you are admitting that you ok with allowing our police to be at risk for no reason. Comply with the police. End of story.

When was it found out he had no weapon??? While he was on his back still reaching under his shirt/waistband? AFTER the fact?

While he's on his back i don't see him reaching for anything.

Most agree they more or less had to shoot.

But its after hes down & almost out & still getting shot is what some dont agree wulith.

Just uncalled for man, no other way to put it.

And why do so many of you have sooo much sympathy for police officers?

That's the job they chose, just like we chose ours.

None of us are any better than the next.

A construction worker directing traffic or walking skylines has a risky job as well, but you sure dont see their face on the news after they put so much time into building your new hotel, casino, restaurant, highway, or what have you...

You really dont see him reaching under his shirt and into his waistband while he is on the ground?? When was the last time you went to the optometrist?

So you're gonna join the list of others in here throwing insults to those of us who don't agree with your take huh?

Keep on...those of you who keep throwing jabs at us continue to prove our point as to how & why some of us think differently...

Lol, just a friendly jab my man... I really cant believe you dont see him putting his hands up his shirt and in his waistband.

If I knew how to freeze the video and capture a photo from it and post it I would.

Ah ok wasn't sure lol.

I guess it is evident to me the guy was just distraught & upset about something.

Maybe his girlfriend just broke up with him or something.

I am witty & quick enough to put all possibilities out there in a split second instead of jumping to conclusions & ending someone's life.

If the guy had a gun he would have pulled it out by then wouldn't you think?

I, and others have stated, they would not have shot the guy while he was already down & out.

Beforehand, yes.

But when he was helpless, no.

We all think differently no biggie...

But this is where you go wrong in your argument. He was not helpless. He was still grabbing in his waistband even after being shot. You must accurately portray the situation to ensure your argument is valid.

Dude, he was shot twice in the chest, why is it surprising that he's grabbing his dick, or anywhere else? How in the world is he supposed to act?? Where you ever shot twice in.the chest? And if so, you were able to.understand WTF cops were saying to.you since the pain from.being shot twice in the chest obviously doesn't hurt.....

Not a cop and have never shot anyone but after shooting him twice and he was lying on his stomach and barely moving why not rush in and cuff him? His arms were moving a little but it was like ultra slow motion and even if he had a gun they could have shot him again if he pulled one out. It looked to me like he was moving because he was in pain.

But easy for me to say if I'm scared for my own life I might react differently. I've watched the video maybe a half dozen times, have 20/20 vision and think the 3rd and for sure the 4th shot were excessive. It was said above as well but why were they still telling him to put his hands behind his back after the 4th shot? Might as well have kept shooting at that point.

I know of a case where a guy I knew personally shot an Afghan gunman multiple times and the Afghan went down. He assumed he was dead because he layed there for a bit. It turns out he wasn't dead, my buddy's gun jammed and the Afghan shot him in the head and killed him.

You still think when a guy goes down after being shot he's not a threat? My buddy's blood was then smeared all over the walls of the hallway. Not a threat?
