Dallas has had a lot of reform under Brown. More de-escalation in training, stricter on use of force, easing on petty crimes. Firing bad officers, which can be hard to do when you are dealing with a public sector union.
There is a lot you can do on the margins that improve quality drastically and still get the bad guys.
Taser gun to a gun fight??
Why does everyone assume every driver is packingbgeat? This isn't the wild west, & this kid didn't have a gun.....assumptions don't make it right to shooting someone twice in the chest, & while laying on the ground still not seeing a gun, they shot him 2 more times......cops were way out of hand in this situation.
So... we should go with the "Dont fire unless someone shoots first" type of policing? What do you do in the situation the cops were in, and you dont know if someone has a gun or not? They keep coming towards you, reaching behind their back like they have some sort of object, and not complying...?
Hindsight is 20/20.. so what if cops didnt have their weapons drawn and guy whipped out a pistol and shot them... what then?
Watch this video..... see how you would do https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZj2vRojmTM
IMO, cops should always use taser guns in a situation like this kid where they don't see a gun.......hindsight is 20/20, & I could play Monday morning qb all day, doesn't mean.I'm right.
But what I saw from the video, it was overkill......these cops probably wouldn't get in trouble over the first two shots to the chest, but I can definitely see them getting in trouble after blasting him twice more while laying on his back.
Every cop has problems in their lives like everyone of us, add the stress before entering the field, & you gave an explosive situation waiting to happen. Like I stated before, we need RoboCops......we need to take emotion out of the equation, but I know that's not reality yet.
You know a taser is only good for about 25 feet or so..... Thats really close... so what do they do if the guy is 30 feet away?? Rush him while he pulls a gun and hope you hit both prongs while not having real good aim with a taser?
Thanks for the opinion man. Maybe if you were actually there, and your life was potentially on the line, your opinion would changeI have no problem at all with him getting shot initially.......Once he was on the ground.....I can`t see him doing damage from the ground on his back no less.
The ground shots weren't necessary IMO.
This is 2 angles at the same exact time.....Different then the other 2 angled 1......Graphic.
This story is the perfect example to the guy that doesn`t like me posting pictures and videos.
I read the story from the OP on page 1......I wanted to know more about it.....It says 2 cops shot some kid.....That doesn`t tell me much.
But this video tells me a whole lot.....It tells the STORY and More.

Guy was shot 3 times & they kept yelling for him to put his hands up??? WTF do they think he is, superman? And then shoot him a 4th time & still keep telling at him to get his hands up.....I'm starting to think some cops have mental problems.
