My 3 words would have been...

DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

Avoiding shit books can only be accomplished by doing some homework...

I would add that it is probably safer to go with a book whom has been doing business and has established a payout record of at least 5 years!

FatFrank,

One final thing to consider before you continue on with your concern about Panama...

Had I suggested that gamblers send money to Costa Rica seven years ago, you'd all have thought I was nuts!!!

I believe the same thing applies to Panama now, but like everything in life, time will tell...

Does everyone have memory loss here? Hello?

Panama looked good before for the books. Then they kicked them all out.

History repeats itself.

Hell Panama was once a haven for laundering coke money. Where do you think the money came from to build Panama city? Same place Escobar build his estate from.

The US will lean on them if it suits them. If that happens, Panama will fold just like any other country. No one can stand up to the US.

About No 2. (Shrink's List)?

I gather the prevaling thinking is that Neteller will remain an option for US players, even with the pending legislation?

Good right up Shrink. However, I have to disagree with you on Costa Rica. I am amazed at the number of scammers that are down here.

Only yesterday I found out someone I thought I knew was operating a big currency trading scam and he isn't the only one.

I would be very leary about telling people to send money down here.

The safe bet would be Australia and England where you have regulation.

Before when sportsbooks were kicked out, gambling in Panama was illegal. But since November they passed legislation to regulate the sportsbook industry. The first sportsbook license was granted in March to BetPanAm. Once and for all, what happened years ago in a unlicensed environment there is night and day compared to what happens in a licensed jurisdiction. Those that set up before were unregulated and dealt with accordingly. Those set up today are licensed and bonded by the government.

For me it is also a feeling you get after talking with a book. Maybe it's just in the voice, but a sixth sense is developed over time as to who may be a crook.

However, the issue remains about what options will the player and / or the books have left to send and receive funds, if something happens to Neteller. I have heard no discussion on that. I personally will not use Western Union.
